Who says we're just a bunch of people with stiff upper lips and who have an aversion to anything upsetting the apple cart??

Personally I'm with the ref on this one. Who wants to have their own private toilet sullied by someone else's rank arse?
Plus it'd would have been nice if Savage did sh!t himself.
Lovely image.

If they let him off, it could then be possible for someone to go into the ref's room with a brown envelope and say "sorry, the one's in the changing room toilets are broken" if they're seen leaving the room. Then next week, after a controversial penalty decision, the ref has a nice new conservatory in his house ;).

It definitely seems petty, but I still think it's a good idea to keep all players and staff out of the ref's dressing rooms. It just keeps away trouble.

Oh I do understand he should have been told off etc for it but £10,000??
Knowing Savage he probably let his mouth run away with itself.
I have no sympathy for him.
But I guess on £5000 per week, he doesn't care.

Yeah, the fine was a bit steep. I think they unjustly took his hair style and his nose into consideration when making that decision:

Adam Crozier: Right, what shall we do with Mr. Savage, and his visit to the ref's room ?. A £2000 fine perhaps ?
Referee's boss: Hmmm, maybe, but can you trust a man who tries to look like Stefi Graf's ugly sister ?. I say increase the fine as he looks a bit iffy to me.
Adam: True, he does lack respectability with that flowing blond hair. £10,000 it is then.
RB: Good, now let's go down to Soho and snort some coke off a whore's tits.
Adam: Sounds good to me loverboy. I'll get the KY jelly.

Excuse me, I just went off on one there :D.
