Forgotten man Winston Bogarde says he will not sacfrifice himself to ease Chelsea's crash crisis.

The former Barcelona man is stuck in the Stamford Bridge reserves on a salary that is reported to be around £50,000-a-week.

Bogarde made just two Premiership starts last season but insists he is happy to keep picking up his cash and will not leave the club without his contract being paid in full - even though his days are numbered.

He said: "Chelsea's cash situation is of no concern to me. I know Chelsea want to get rid of me and that's fair enough but I'm not going to leave for nothing.

"I signed a contract and expect the club to honour it. Why should I be forced to leave if I'm going to earn less?

"It's not my problem how much they are paying me."

Bogarde disgusts me. I mean he gets paid in a week, what a lot of fans barely earn in a year, his behaviour is totally unacceptable. He should be banned for life from football.
I really do not understand what the club is playing at including him in the "team" foto. He should be in the stocks in the centre circle at every home again as half time entertainment.

I’ve read a lot of stories in the newspapers this week about how the big earning Premiership players who aren’t playing regularly are pushing clubs towards bankruptcy – and many articles used my situation at Chelsea as an example.

This has angered me because let’s face it, my wages alone aren’t going to make Chelsea bankrupt. It is so easy to point the finger of blame toward the players themselves but at the end of the day it is not my fault or any other high-earning player’s fault if he is not picked. I want to play for Chelsea as much as anyone else, but it is the manager’s decision alone as to who actually plays, irrespective of what their earnings are.

It is not necessarily the manager’s fault that I’m earning good money either. The chairman and board members normally decide on financial matters, so they are the ones to blame if you are looking for people to point the finger at. I’ve worked very hard in my career to get where I am today and the club obviously felt that I was a player worth offering a good deal to, when I signed two years ago. Both parties used common sense and agreed on my contract. It’s not my fault that they haven’t picked me since.

Chelsea’s financial situation is of no real concern to me. It is not my problem how much they are paying me. There is no point in moaning about it either because nobody can do anything about it. Let’s get things straight. I want to play but I’m still waiting to be given a chance. I would love nothing more than to play regularly and to genuinely earn my wages by playing well on the pitch – but it is the manager’s decision as to who plays and who doesn’t play and that’s final.

I know that Chelsea want to get rid of me and that’s fair enough but I’m not going to leave for nothing. I signed a contract and I expect the club to honour it. I cant believe he has the gaul to make some of those statements. It is quite obvious that he gets no respect from the fans, his teamates, and obviously Ranieri. I cant believe he tried to put his wages in perspective to the amount the club makes/owes. What a ************ing wanker, please try justifying your wages to most of the 42,000+ that spend a good portion of their wages to watch the club they love.
Better yet, I would love to see Bogarde try that face to face.
