quick question here guys, mainly out of curiosity

anyone know how to obtain a FIFA team and player licence so that one can use real players and team names for use in a game for example? or how much it costs?

In a game, you mean, like a video game? Because that would probably cost insane sums of money. Think about the companies that release licensed soccer games... it's always really bigshot companies with serious funds.

Do you know if the same applies to National teams? I mean a countries name is not copyrighted or is it?

No, but Federation logos, jerseys, that sort of thing is copyrighted. You wouldn't be able to use the USSF crest, or their proper uniforms or anything like that.

If you get an answer let us know. I'm guessing FIFA will desire 0.5 to 3 million, just to see if your serious. For something that expensive, your game better make some serious money.
