Gal about the match vs Bayern

Borussia
14 Nov 2008, 02:05 AM
I just "HATE X 1000000000000000" BAYERN so much..its tough to put it into words or explain it here, Everything from their colors to their cheezeeee overrated players and the entire organisation..what they stand for and the fact that they are like blood suckers, parasites so to speak...no talent and no blue-color code of honor, just another rich club that buys the best players ( and even tho they spend all that money..they still struggle )...

Naz, it's your right to hate them (I personally don't, although I surely won't keep my fingers crossed for them in the Bundesliga) ... but please avoid posting such silly comments into this thread!  In contrast to a club like Hoffenheim, they earned their money thanx to Hoenneß' good job ... and pls don't forget that, despite spending a lot of cash, they are also not neglecting the youth work (look at players like Nerlinger, Hamann, Kuffour, Ziege, Trochowski, Misimovic, Lahm, Lell, Rensing, Schweinsteiger, Kroos etc.)! I.e., our current Sportdirektor, team manager, assistent coach and goalie started their career at Bayern...

Nobody gets forced to like them ... but showing a little bit of respect for what they achieved, is always better than pure hatred in my eyes!

Am sorry you find my comment silly, but hey thats what u think and your entitle to it.I breath and live gladbach,i am not like one of those newbies that has a fav club in every country in europe! Am not judging them or those kindda people..but for me there is one club and its borussia..and yes i may be intense a bit ,but its a good thing trust me.. i may find politically correct people silly and spineless, ones that are always worried about how to express their true colors! What to some people might be considered silly...is called having pride and respect to others.I dont want to sound cocky..but am sure if we meet someday you will see 4yourself that not even many of your born and raised german gladbach fans share the same desire and love and pride i have for gladbach...so ya i may express myself a bit intesne,different..or even silly ..lol.. but i like it..and am not trying to insult anyone ! I guess since you cant see facial expressions via e-mail or posting on internet forums etc ...my humor does not get thru or the hate word makes some "politically correct" people worried out here...but ya the hate wasent going to put anyone at harm..lol and wasent intended to insult anyone...but it was a way to show my feelings in some sort of a way, the hatred i have for bayern does not mean i want to destroy them or wipe them off the face of this earth..but ya am a bit crazy perhaps and die hard..i know one color and one team and its gladbach, i certainly sure hope for the amount of money they have spent thru the years and the tools they have at their disposal..and coming from a huge rich city in bavaria called MUNICH..they are doing some work with their youth program (big deal) ..but why is it that all they do is collect other top players from around the globe or germany(yes its prof sports..but i have no respect for such clubs, just not attractive) ??? sure they have money good for them...and they are spending it to remain on the top..but i have been always a supporter of the under-dog,clubs that do HUGE things w.out the money and and the hype...thats why i have been a gladbach fan since i was 6 years old! So ya thats why i dont have respect for flashy teams such as bayern, again am not trying to be rude..but its just no big deal to come from MADRID,MILAN,MUNICH, etc..with all those huge corportations pouring those millions of euros into their club..and winning championships....too me its just no huge accomplishment and i dont find it a big deal sorry and does not deserve to applaud for it ...so i like to show my respect for small clubs and hard working no-name players that step up to the occasion..those have my respect, just me i guess ..it is a free world and i guess each to their own!

I respect every player as being a human being but thats where it ends, but i show no respect for other opponents..they are against us and always will be,they will show no mercy for us on the field..
so thats about it my friend in a semi-short nut-shell !

Well, here's the first party. Maybe more later. If some sentences sound redundant, it's not my fault, it's in the source material ;):

Every wednesday it's time for the show "Borussia hautnah" on the Mönchegladbach based radio station "Radio 90.1". Yesterday as well, when for the first time our new signing, midfielder and US-American Michael Bradley accompanied by Borussia's spokesman Markus Aretz, who translated, answered host Petra Koch's questions. The likeable 21 years old gave, a very nice talk, a little insight into his first days at Borussia, compared German, Dutch and American soccer and, as a good US-boy, asked for the song "Born in the USA" by Bruce Springsteen in between. The following is a summary of Michael's interview.

In the beginning Petra Koch introduced the 21 years old a bit, before Petra Koch started with the question if he had settled in well already.

MB: I'm very happy to be here. The first few weeks were exciting, as the results weren't what we had expected. Then there was the coaching change and I id travel a lot. Meanwhile I'm feeling good here, and I stelled in well, and I'm happy to be in Mönchengladbach.

PK: You already mentioned the change of the coach... Now, since Hans Mayer's arrival, you're playing. How do you feel right now, and have you already adapted to the first division?

MB: Of course it's always an adjustement, and you need time if you come into a new city and to a new club. But the club, the coach, the team and simply everyone here at the club has welcomed me. I'm more happy every day, and I feel good within the team. My performance is ok, but I think it can get even better.

PK: As a young chap you played in the US, then you went to the Netherlands, to SC Heerenveen. Where's the difference between German and American soccer, and between German and Dutch soccer?

MB: I think the soccer in the Netherlands is more tactical. All Dutch teams are very godd tactically. When you get into the Bundesliga, you have that as well - but the Bundesliga is more physical, the game is faster and the quality is much higher in Germany. You have to adapt to this. And if you compare it to America, the American league is improving, but it still needs time before it's on the level of an European league.

PK: We saw you in the 4 games under Hans Meyer. What percantage of your abbilities have we seen already, and what can we expect from you in the future?

MB: On the field I try to give the best for the team, so that the result will be good. That's the most important thing. That's what counts. The results are a bit better now, after the two wins with Hans Meyer. Personally I try to mind every detail, to improve it, to be able to give more for the team.

PK: You scored 15 goals in the Netherlands. That sounds like an attacking midfielder... do you see yourself as a "number 10", or where on the field do you feel most comfortable?

MB: In Heerenveen I had a coach who saw me as more of an attacking midfielder. I liked that and it was ok for me. I feel most comfortable when I'm in the center of the game, when I can seize the ball, when I can go up front or into the back, waiting for the right moment to go up front. I see myself more as a withdrawn midfielder.

Our two Israel players in the squad

THX Schnorrer_Sefarad

FINALLY Kashtan give the list of players...

Goalies
Dudu Awat - Deportivo La Coruña
Liran Strauber - Maccabi Netanya

Defenders
Klemi Saban - Maccabi Netanya
Dedi Ben Dayan - Maccabi Netanya
Avi Strool - Lokeren
Tal Ben Haim - Manchester City
Yoav Ziv - Beitar Jerusalem
Dekel Keinan - Maccabi Haifa

Midfielders
Gal Alberman - Borussia Mönchengladbach
Aviram Baruchyan - Beitar Jerusalem
Avihai Yadin - Hapoel Tel Aviv
Yossi Benayoun - Liverpool
Biram Kiyal - Maccabi Haifa (and a wasted spot..!)
Maor Buzaglo - Maccabi Tel Aviv
Salim Toama - Standar Liege

Forwards
Omer Golan - Lokeren
Eyaniv Barda - Genk
Roberto Colautti - Borussia Mönchengladbach
Itay Shechter - Maccabi Netanya

ok now my opinion, i dont like who he called in defence, we should try new players in this game, i would have called guys like Haim Megrelashvili, Amir Nussbaum, Zev Haimovitch and Dani Bondarv, and when the under21 is not playing call also Yuval Shpungin and Shmuel Kozokin, our goalkeepers are not getting any younger and Strauber and Davidovitch might quit football in recent years, so is time to call guys like Yossi Shekel, Danny Amos, Tom Almadon and Ohad Levitte, in midfield Biyal is a wasted spot, i would have called Shirran Yeini, Gil Vermouth, Moshe Ohayon, Yossi Shivhon, Amit Ben Shushan or Omer Buksenbaum, the forwards, they are ok i guess, i would have called also Ben Sahar and give a chance to Shlomi Arbeitman and Eden Ben Besat to prove themself..

THX again
Part two, there will also be a part three. And sorry again, I could actually copy and paste entire sentences, because for some reason they love to say exactly the same things multiple times, using exactly the same words.

I tried to stay close to the original with the grammar and sentence structure... it's a transcript and this shows quite a bit, so I would to have to rewrite it to get it into nicer English. Sorry if this makes it hard to read.

--------------

Hans Meyer on MB: the young players, including Michael, need to take responsibility right now, although because of their young age they aren't ready for this yet. Of course Michael Bradley is really talented, but he's simply no Franz Beckenbauer who, at the age of 19, could take a team onto a new level. Or like Johan Cruyff, who was at the top at the age of 18 in the Netherlands. That's not like it, but I hope that the boy, who has a really good character and is a good player, will help us progress in the future.

PK: What do you say to this?

MB: Of course I hope, like the coach says, that I will help the club. Recently I talked to him for a long time, in Dutch, which we speak both, and he told me exactly how he sees me. He said that he knows how difficult it is for a young player to get into a new team and take responsibility. I see this as a challenge for me. I know what I'm able to do, and I can do more than I've shown so far - things that will help the team. That's what I want to bring in.

PK: How difficult is it for a young player, in a team full of young players, to take responsibility, and how ready are you to do this?

MB: Well, it's always hard to find the right balance. You need young players, and experienced players. That we aren't on a relegation spot anymore is very important for us mentally. We also have many young players, who are ambitious and ready to take responsibility. The second half in Bielefeld, where 6 players under 21 were on the field, has shown this. This has worked. We still need to harmonize a few things, but I think we're progressing and this will show against Bayern and in the games beyond.

PK: This win Bielfeld... how important was this for you, mentally?

MB: This win was very important. You only have to look at the standings to see how important it was. That we aren't on a relegation spot anymore is very important for us mentally. We have wtached the game again, analyzed it on video. There we have seen a few bad scenes, but we also have seen things we did good. Now we have draw conclusions and build up on this.

PK: In Bielefeld many people already said now we can beat Bayern as well. Is this dreaming or can you beat Bayern already?

MB: Of course we can, and want to, beat them. That's why we play soccer. Every team in the Bundesliga can beat every other team if they have a good day. Bayern has a good team, and we need to make sure that we are organized. We have to bring the good things, that were good in Bielefeld, with us and show those for 90 minutes on the field. We have to fight together, and for each other, and if we can do this I like our chances against Bayern.

PK: You are born in Prinston, NJ. That's about an hour away from New York City. Then you went to Mönchengladbach via Heerenveen. It has to be a shock if you go from New York into smaller towns?

MB: Of course it makes a difference. But if you have a dream, if you want to do what you are living for, namely playing soccer, it's no problem.

What to some people might be considered silly...

I hope you saw that it's just that marked sentence from your posting I considered silly, Naz. Think about it ... and I'm sure you'll agree with me that it was inappropiate.

is called having pride and respect to others.

That "parasites" comparison hasn't much to do with respect to others, though.

@ Luckie

Why did you copy the postings from the "Bradley" thread & Israel forum?

Btw: According to "Torfabrik", Steve Gohouri could start as LB.

http://torfabrik.de/profis/borussia/datum/2008/11/14/gohouri-eine-option-als-linksverteidiger.html

Well, let's hope this won't be true ... since he never played this position and cause we need him as CB against Klose & Toni with his header quality!

Here's my preferred line-up for tomorrow:

...............................Gospodarek
Levels.............Gohouri............Brouwers...........Daems
Bradley.......................Alberman....................Pauuwe
.................Baumjohann...............Marin
.................................Colautti

Una bella serata.

Is it something bad? There's a difference between love your team and favor other clubs.

I breath Maccabi Netanya every second of my life. Going to games, training, youth games...When I get up in the morning right away I'm checking sport news to see something about Netanya. But that doesn't mean that I can't favor other clubs in Europe.

Since I was a kid I grew up on Holland total football and fell in love with it. so I started to become Holland fan, and support them every international tournament.
I saw Ajax on the 90's and start to become their fan (I even been to some games..I love fact that they're fans using Israeli flags :)).
I also like English and German football. Liverpool I also follow since the 90's...
I admit, I start to follow M'gladbach when Colautti moved there. After I read on wikipedia and such about the History of the club (Which is very Similar to Netanya history), it grew on me, and I start to follow more often.

I bet you every football fan around the world favor 2/3 more clubs, sometimes even more, but everyone love only one team. If Netanya will play against Ajax or Liverpool in Champions league or something then there's no doubt who I'll cheer for...

A follow-up would be really fantastic ... however, a draw would be a great result as well! I don't expect any points against Bayern, so I won't be disappointed in the case of a defeat at least.

Let's hope the guys remember the Bremen home game and play with the same passion & heart! The pressure is on Bayern, so let them attack ... stay well-organized in the defence ... and catch them on fast counters!

We'll see what happens in front of the 54,000 fans...

This is the time for Colautti to show that he's doing a comeback, if he want to start being in the top 11. He was always complaining about not being in the National squad for a while...Now it's the time to prove himself, because we need a player like him against Greece.

You're right. When Celtic is playing Juve, I'll be neutral and enjoy the game (as it happened in the CL some years ago) ... but not if BMG should face them.

This is the time for Colautti to show that he's doing a comeback

I'd like to see him in the "starting eleven" tomorrow, since he's the better counter-attack striker in comparison to Friend.

However, I doubt he'll start after the rather poor first half in Bielefeld. Let's wait up Hans Meyer's decision...

As Neuville is unjured, he's just 1 of 2 remaining strikers ... so he should get some playing time during the next weeks.

Have a good luck tomorrow, they broadcast the game on TV here, I'll try to find you guys a link...

Thanx for keeping the fingers crossed.

About the livestreams: Don't worry, there will be enough. ;)

This is just my opinion,i know we need points and a draw against a top-of-the-table team is great..but i really need a a win specially against bayern...yes our glory days or long gone..but a draw would piss me off...not sure how to explain it,we our at home..and we should play bayern different..just like when we also had the super-power title tagging along our name..just like hans meyer said it..bayern has a perfect squad and they are clicking recently..but if our guys really truly feel the need for a WIN..we shall win,i just hope mentally they can establish that mind-set ....i think this game for us is more mental and about will-power!

I also think we need matmours speed on the wings in this game, maybe he would be used as a sub,but whynot in the main XI??

Man times like this i miss having guys like "EFFENBERG"..total "one-man-show" good enough to change the result of one game single handedly ..

I have a bottle of champagne sitting in my fridge for months, who knows if we send bayern home with a BIG FAT LOSE..ill pop it open...

I have no problems with my will power and my mental state. I have been to about 8 matches with Bayern in our stadiums, and have never seen a defeat; why should we start tomorrow? This is no Bayern country... Hoeneß knows, Klinsmann knows, and many players know. They were always beaten in Gladbach; they will be beaten tomorrow.
