Four points from the final 3 matches next week??

What are you talking about dude??

Before 1860 started this 3-match stretch, I said 7 points was the maximum they would get but hoped for 4 points. This is their last chance to get the 4 points from the last three matches, total. Sorry for the confusion! :D

Anyhow, I think this FCN match coming up on Sunday will be HUGE in estimating how far this 1860 team can go.

Even though it will be huge for them to get Bierofka back after the break, I still believe how they go into the break will be important.

I absolutely agree. I know it would make ME feel better if they went into the break with a victory!

Again, there usually are. Against FSV Frankfurt, I'm certain there will be. FSV Frankfurt has a hard time drawing 10,000 to their home matches.

I am hoping so! I am looking forward to checking out the club's facility and spending copious amounts of money buying scarves and the like. That will be a great part of my Bavarian visit!

Dude, trust me. Even if 1860 started the second half of the season with all victories up until that FSV match, there will still be tickets available on match day.

If this were Augsburg, Furth, FCK or FCN, I'd worry about tickets being available on match day.

But FSV Frankfurt? The only way I'd pre-order is if I wanted to sit in a specific section.

Which is the only reason I normally pre-order my tickets in the first place. Because I like to sit in one of the the four most popular sections of the stadium (besides the traditional standing areas) on match day.

Other than that, I'd always buy tickets on match day.

Garry, do you truly prefer if we not discuss the match here as it is going on?? I know you see it afterwards, so I stopped commenting on what is going on during the matches.
Hell no!!! Discuss the game whenever you want!!!! I simply avoid BS and this thread until the game is on. I am not on of these PC-type guys who wants the world to change to suit my needs. It is my responsibility to stay away from things that might spoil something I want to be kept secret.

It's like looking for xmas presents before xmas: don't go looking for xmas presents, find them and then blame your parents for being lousey present hiders.:D You get what you deserve. Please discuss away whenever you feel like it.;)

Thanks bro. Just wanted to be sure.

Okay, now you know I am going to ask this question...

Where is the best place to sit/stand on Match Day? Just being in the Stadium will be a HUGE treat for me... But still, being in the mix of it with the true 1860 fans would be even better!

As with any stadium.....where the bier flows freeist, where the girls are prettiest, where the food is hottest and where the view of the picth is least obstructed (unless obstructed by bier, food or pretty girls).

Now that just sounds like great fun! I cannot wait. I am hoping to be able to attend with other 1860 fans, but I am not sure... It would be nice to not have the entire experience completely solo, although a lack of evidence as to the atrocities I may commit may be a good thing. :D

You have to remember, I have been to all of ONE soccer match and it was here in the States in Charleston for their Class A club... I could not even guess as to what that would be in Germany. Well, I guess 2.BL just for the sheer lack of anything else. That said, there may have been 5,000 fans there and they were clueless as to how a soccer match must look/sound.

The only atrocities you could possibly commit would be:
Wearing a Bayern shirt. No problem. Your dead, lifeless body would not make it off the train, so no reason to fear you would ever make it to the stadium.
Ordering the wrong bier. Given you are in Bavaria and they don't sell that shit Bitburger crap there, you cannot possibly order the wrong bier.
Sitting in the wrong section. As an American you would be forgiven if you accidently sat anywhere. Hell, some of the best games I have watched were when I sat in the "wrong" section. People are funnier.
Make an ass of yourself. Cannot help you there. If you are the type to scream your head off, yell obscenities at the oppsing players and referee then that's your problem. Keith might be able to give you some tipps on protecting yourself though.:D;)
You'll be fine.:D

Just have fun. Take a few pics. Pics of babes are always good.

Have some food. Drink some beer. I wouldn't recommend sitting with the fans who are doing the choreography unless you really understand German well enough so you don't screw it up.

Don't sit with the few hundred FSV fans - that won't be fun.

So if you see a lone American, sitting off in the distance, you will know who that is... LOL

So what would be the best, safest [specific] sections for me to sit in, generally?

Dude, you're fine anywhere in the stadium except for the guest sections and the only reason I think there will be any FSV Frankfurt fans there is so they can say they saw their team play at the Allianz Arena. They might have more fans than usual there.

The guest sections are 107-111 and 217-219. However, even with their wanting to see the stadium, I'm betting there will be just enough FSV fans to nearly fill 107-111.

My favorite sections are lower bowl centered. 102-105 and (well, 102 and 105 as 103 and 104 are directly behind the team dugouts) and 120-123 on the other side, where my current lady likes to sit because during the afternoon, that is the "sunny side" of the stadium.

So if she's with me, you're most likely to find me in second 120. LOL!! :D

I think there will be more than a few hundred. Frankfurt is just three hours up the A9 and A3 (about two and a half if you drive like me and closer to two without the Würzburg traffic) and this might be the only chance FSV fans will get to say they saw their team play at the Allianz Arena.

So if I stand on my seat before the match and yell "Hey footy!", I should be able to find you...

How many are they drawing in Frankfurt? I figured you might bet a 1,000. For some reason I thought it was a Friday game, but we don't even know that yet.

They were consistently drawing over 8,000 earlier in the season, but they hit lows of 5,200 against Rostock on October 24th and Freiburg on October 31st. Both Fridays on either side of an "English Week."

Possibly. I'm only thinking maybe a bit more because of the novelty that is the Allianz Arena. Again, I think some of them will travel just to say they saw their team play at the AA.

What is the general sense, among 1860 supporters, regarding their use of Allianz Arena? I have to admit, watching some of these smaller clubs playing in smaller, more friendly confines seems appealing...

Thoughts?
