So, here is what Sechzig have left prior to the Winter Break...
30.11.08 14:00 TSV 1860 München : SV Wehen Wiesbaden
05.12.08 18:00 Alemannia Aachen : TSV 1860 München
14.12.08 14:00 TSV 1860 München : 1. FC Nürnberg
Honestly, I could see 7 points from this lot of matches. More likely 6 points.
Time will tell, but these matches are important in setting the stage for the second half of the term.

Agree on all but your Beda comment. As I recall, he did at least make a nice block of a pass in the first half that would have surely been a Rostock goal.
Dude, you call getting hit by a ball the same as blocking it?;) Hell, from the angle I saw it looked like Tschauner had a bead on it. We were lucky that Beda's "block" (read: unintentional deflection) hit a Rostock player in the face and went out for a corner.
You will have a very hard time convincing me Beda did anything of use on the field yesterday. He was late, did not shut down the middle forcing Gregg to come up more, never completed a pass all night and did little in the way of constructive work. Seriously, converting oxygen was the high point of his night.

Hmmm...having watched FCN the other day I would have to say that 1860 would be lucky to take 6....will likely take 4 points.
Wehen is iffy. If they come at 1860 like they did FCK it will be a close match. 1860 will have to clearly avoid any cranial-rectal inversions from ALL players in order to take max points on this one. 2-1 to 1860.
Aachen is very strong right now and playing good ball. Not to mention there are some ex-Loewen on that team that will enjoy a win against their old employer. I say we take zero points in Aachen. 1-2 to Aachen.
FCN is playing very well. Their game last week they moved the ball well and fast. Their counter-attack is very strong. If 1860 cannot cover in the middle any better than they did last night then the game goes to FCN. However, IF the 1860 team from four or more games ago shows up, I give the edge to 1860 2-1. If the team that played Rostock show? 1-3 to FCN.

Oh, I won't waste my time trying to convince you of anything on this. I just gave my point of view and I'll leave it at that.

I would put it the way Tschauner did (http://www.tsv1860.de/de/aktuell/news/2008/news_2008-11-24_stimmen.php), "we were the luckier team".

But this match IS at home, FWIW... I know, it may not be worth much.
It is clear I will not have any trouble getting a ticket to the Sechzig match in March when I am in town.

No predictions from me. I can't put a finger on this 1860 team. However, I just ordered my tickets for the FCN match.
That freakin' match is nearly sold out already!
But it is one of the "true" Bayern Derbies, so why should I be surprised?
I don't think I'll be wearing anything from either club. I will truly be a neutral observer.
I still have a serious soft spot for both clubs. :o

Dude, I can see why:
Xmas time in Muenchen
Derby (of sorts)
Gluehwein
Reason to travel
Teams in a fighting mode for once
Did I mention Xmas time in Muenchen?
If you go get liquiored up early. Remember that 1860-BVB match way back when? That Gluehwein was the only thing keeping my ass from freeezing to the seat. Ian still remembers that game. Thank God for a 3 year old with a sense of adventure....and tons of Kinderpunsch.
Taking him to his first theater-based Bond film tonight. The tradition is passed down to another generation of offspring. Katie is pissed b/c I won't let her go and she is a BIGGER Bond fan than Ian. Oh well....next movie for her.

Oh yeah. I remember how COLD it was at that match. Your dad was with us too.
That was the first time we met in person. One good thing is that the Allianz Arena keeps out much of the wind that the Olympiastadion didn't.
And this match is what some of my friends call a "true" Bayern derby. They say the first real "Bayern Derby" was between 1860 and FCN.
I'm pretty sure Wendy and I will have some good Gluhwein in the city before the match and at the stadium during!! ;)

Cool! I saw it last week. I dug it.

I need to see the new Bond movie. I got pneumonia and am doing a lot of resting, but as soon as I am able - hello Bond.

Keith - take some pics for me.

I'll ask my girlfriend about pics. She's the picture taker, I don't even own a camera.
Get well soon man!

Thanks man. I feel pretty good, antibiotics are good. But I get tired really quickly. Went to church, came home wiped out.

Ian had walking pnemonia last year and took nearly two months to come back from it. Make sure they give you the breathing machine....that damn thing worked wonders.

They didn't give me any breathing machine. I've been feeling better, only a bit of coughing.

Same with my son....then it came back....even when his lungs wee clear.
On the Bond movie....good movie but hardly a "Bond" movie. No gadgets, no chicks, no womanizing, no theme song in the sound track, nada. Second movie in a row they have done this. If they continue they will lose the die hard fans. A bunch of guys (30-50) were leaving the theater all saying the same things. They lose their bread and butter crowd and they lose the franchise. This is my last Bond movie if they continue this crap.
Imagine going to a Harry Potter movie without the soundtrack or magic, or a Star Wars movie without the Imperial Theme evertime Darth Vader takes a crap....is hardly a franchise movie is it?:mad:

Sorry Eddie....did not mean to spoil it. I think you will still enjoy the movie. Craig is a good actor and plays a mean Bond. As a die-hard Bond fan I did not have to fight the urge to hate the movie because it was a good movie. It actually reminded my of Never Say Never Again with the way they almost purposefully avoid using the Bond theme laid over any action sequences, etc. It was just aggrivating that it seemed to almost go out of its way to NOT be a Bond movie. Hate the theme song. Someone was tone-deaf when they allowed that to be recorded. I think it displaces Moonraker as the worst Bond theme now.:D
I think you will still enjoy it as long as you forget that it is supposed to be a Bond movie.:o Take your iPod and have the Bond theme on it. Whenever an action sequence comes on simply play your iPod in one ear...problem solved.

Note to Producers: More sex, more gadgets, more chicks and more theme music next movie please!!!!! Somewhere Saltzman and Brocoli are rolling in their graves.
