Yes, he went to Belgium for the $175,000 bid.

Foolishly high and the bidder didn't even have any competition. He jumped the price and no one competed with him. Odd strategy.

Anyhoo, I am back in the black economy wise, so that's good news :)

That's funny, I have done something like that before, but I was luckily outbid by someone who was dumber then I was at the time outbid me on the guy. Oh well I'm sure I'll get another shot at a good defender sometime.

That's a really good pull, especially if you just started playing the game, I envy you, I'm still waiting for my first solid player, and no the stamina on my current YP doesn't count. I could really use some pay back for the investment in the youth program.

Yeah I realize that I lucked out--he's paying for a new coach (my initial one was wretched wretched wretched).

After a flurry of bids, the fee is now up to $57,000 (yay!), bid up by one of the other teams in my series (boo). I don't play them again this season, but if I stay up, i sure don't want to be snakebit by him. So if anyone's looking for a solid scorer.....
