I havn't played it yet, and I've only played a demo of NFL2k3.

But...

Supposedly both games have improved a lot this year and many are saying that NFL 2k3 has finally surpassed Madden in terms of gameplay and career mode. NFL2k3 now has the ESPN License and Dan Patrick is even on the game.

But this definately seems like the year for the NFL games, when Madden came out on wednesday there was a line of about 30 people waiting outside the local Gamestop waiting to get inside at 10. I went in and bought FIFA World cup and asked how many copies Madden had sold, the guy said Madden had sold about 50 copies...and the store had only been open for about 3 hours at that point.

I bought it for PS2 and what I've seen so far of it I like a lot. It's definately geared more toward offense than it has been the last few years. It took a couple of games getting used to the fact that it's one touch passing now. You no longer have to push a button to bring up passing options. Running abilites are much better than 2002. I haven't had a whole lot of time to explore the game, but there seems to be a whole lot more you can do in this one. Bill Simmons had a good artilce on ESPN about it. http://espn.go.com/page2/s/simmons/020814.html

You have it on quick pass - if you take it off you can still bring up the receiver options.

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp I got Madden 2003 for the Playstation 2 earlier this week. The game rocks! :)

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp It's cool to see the game's controls having been simplified from the more complicated controls of before (no more two-button moves, for example), which really made the series hard to play when it first came onto the Playstation (similary to FIFA 96 and FIFA 97). I hadn't played the series in a few years, but now I'm glad that I'm back.

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Plus, with the Playstation 2's internet connection coming in about a week or so, it'll be possible to play with or against others from wherever - I sure can't wait for that to be implemented with FIFA 2003! :D

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Interestingly, if you also have a game of NCAA Football 2003 saved on your memory card and then start up Madden NFL 2003, the latter game will detect that and give you some bonus "Madden Cards" for it. :D

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Also, during the offseason (in Franchise Mode), you can take the draft class from your NCAA game and draft them into Madden (again, both games need to have been saved on the same memory card for that to work). :)
