Will our favorite tennis star ever win a major tennis tourny, or is she a washed up never-was?

No.

Any decent 4.0 woman player can beat her.

Can I quote Hans Gruber? "Who cares?"

Nope, and also, I volunteer. The fact that I just had arthoscopic surgery might hinder me a little, therefore I predict a 6-2, 6-2 match.

She has the talent, she just doesn't know what to do with it.

When Anna K first appeared on the radar, the knock on her was that she had potential but needed to develop one shot that could put a point away any time. She never did develop that shot.

Remember back in those pre-Williams sisters days, Hingis, Kournikova and Schnyder were supposed to represent the future in tennis? Well, Hingis peaked early and the game seems to have passed her by, Kournikova simply stopped being a tennis player and Schnyder went off the deep end.

Maybe they can have a Capriati-like revival but I doubt it.

Anna Obviously has spent too much time shooting commercials for countless companies around the world. She doesn't have to win anything. She's on payed vacation.

Skip, is ODB in jail or something?

Skip, is ODB in jail or something? You'd think it would hurt adidas' credibility as a sports brand to have such an underachiever as an endorser but that's sports marketing in the 21st Century for you.

And yes, ODB is in jail, last I checked, and he's not having a very good time in there.

So if Hingis is going down, is she taking her boyfriend Sergio Garcia down with her?

Best argument for Martina Hingis' greatness.

She has won a number of Doubles titles with
Anna K. as her partner.

It is all about looking good these days. I don't believe that, but that's what the marketing people tell you. Doesn't matter if it is sports, music or whatever, you aren't going to get noticed unless you look good in your underwear. Heck, even the most recent female opera singers to hit it big are thin and good looking...thus rendering "It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings" a useless expression.

If she puts the modelling career on hold and concentrates and dedicates herself solely to tennis, yeah, she can win a tournament.

She got run from the US Open pretty quick. She stormed off the court to a chorus of boooooooo's.

It's over. Drop yer drawers for Playboy and move on.

She oughta to worry about winning one match in a big tournament before thinking about winning tournaments.
