We have been discussing how bad the Rapids website has been, 100 + hours without updating. I thought it was the bottom of the barrel, but the play of the Rapids tonight was even a lower quality than the website. The Galaxy were playing without their leading scorer and their starting keeper, though, since we didn't get any shots on goal, they probably didn't need a keeper at all.
That match was about as exciting as watching my hair grow, and I'm bald. No attack whatsoever. When my son was younger, several times, a friend would call up and say they needed to get a team together to play in the Friendship Cup because a team had failed to show. They would call their friends, and put a team together. The Rapids tonight looked like that kind of a team. Their passes were always behind or ahead of the receiver. Several times, 2 players were wailing away at the ball, and not even touching it. Players dribbled down the field, and left the ball behind. Early, Chris Henderson had an unbelievable opportunity to score from close range, and missed by a mile. Lalas sends a header in from San Jose, and Kramer doesn't even make a move to try to get to it, ultimately knocking it in with his knees.
I could chalk it up to having a bad night, but this was a VERY IMPORTANT match against a team we really needed to beat, a team playing shorthanded. We didn't show up, and were dismal from the outset.
I could go on and on, but what's the use. I will continue to support the Raps, and go to the matches, and even buy season tickets, but that was the epitome of the word PATHETIC. It made the website look good.

why bring in defense. when we are already playing bad? three shots on goal!!!! If you want to try to win try the subs on offense what have you got to lose?? Beckerman has played offense all his life and finds the net. Instead of putting him in for pablo-how about kingsley, valderama, chung? Stewart for hart. When the coach could see early on that the game stunk try new combinations, try anything!

Chungy was more defensive than normal today. Chris look normal with offensee/defense. Didn't see mutch interaction between the two. Usually they have bettere cheemistry with each other.

Slight correction - MLSNET says Raps had three shots, none on goal. Reis credited with zero saves.

Not sure what happened. First time you guys came to town (with Spencer) you played assured confident solid soccer. This time, Chung was silent, Carreri hardly touched the ball, and Pablo got turned inside out by Cobi and others.

Maybe you just chalk it up to one of those stinkers that happens. LAG got bombed in NY 5-0 earlier this year. It happens.

NOW: Do us all a favor and knock off the Quakes. For one week, at least, I become a big Rapids fan.

Oh my gawd that was awful. I turned it off at 70 minutes, just too outlandishly bad to watch.

Nice to see we can't sub off el Pibe, even during his worst performance ever in a losing effort that was obviously going no where since the first ten minutes of the game. I mean, why sub in Beckerman at the A-mid slot?

beckerman got subbed in for pablo -dmid. he should of gone in on offense somewhere. other coaches make switches when they see that nothing is happening. hankinson is sooo predictable. It was 2-0 somewhere around the 59th min!!!But Hankinson continues to do the same thing- subs on defense and at the same position!!!!!We needed to try something new on offense.. It is august and we need some shaking up at different positions. Sit some of the starters who aren't playing well.
