I think its between Rio, Evra and Ronaldo.
Fletcher was good again. Anderson was his usual self in CM. Nani was dangerous for the most part, and should be an honorable mention. Berbatov did okay as well. But Ronaldo played well today. Not just the goals either.
Evra is always a constant threat. Apart from his early mis timed tackle, he was fanstastic as usual.
Same with Rio. He was back to his best, after that debacle at Everton.

Very hard to single out just one person, imo. Berbs gets the nod from me for THAT move.

Might watch this again before voting. If I don't, my general (cop out) rule of thumb when it's tight is to pick the goalscorer who played the best. As there was only one......

Rio. Helped out Vidic on a few occasions, covered Rafael's flank pretty well.
Evra. Great offensively with end product for once.
Ronaldo. Two goals.

Pretty much a toss up between Rio and Evra for me. I voted Rio.
Berba's move for the 2nd was great. It went from WTF is he doing to Holy S. what a move in a 2 second span.

Only one player produced two goals....

I wouldn't call what he did for the 2nd "producing", really.

I guess Ronaldo would have to get it for the 2 goals. Berbs assist was the best of the season, but Ronaldo put the points on the board.
Special mention for Anderson, Nani, and Evra who all had their best matches of the season.

Anderson is my MOTM.
Ronaldo wasn't especially good appart from the goals. He wasn't bad, but Anderson was excellent. Both goals required good assists from Nani and Berbatov, but it was Anderson's vision and 1st touch (on both occasions iirc) passing that created the initial opening.

Ronaldo for the two goals. The first was underrated by the FSC announcer, Not too many in our squad can pick the far post from that spot with the off foot and the ball coming across that precisely. A very tidy finish that you'd expect him to make bc its CR but that's high level anyway. Nice hustle for the second, so sweet to win a footrace with the defender for a goal.
Almost BerbaGod for "That Move" as one poster said, and for entertainment in the other near miracles traps/runs.....

I agree with your assessment of the first goal and would go even further to say that the second was underrated as well. Ronaldo won the foot race yes, but that was only half of it. When the ball was played through to Berbatov, Ronaldo was probably the only player other than Anderson and Berbs who thought Berbs would be able to make something of the pass. That kind of run to the near post is the run that a great, CF makes time and again. I think in that sense, Ronaldo is as much a 9 as he is a 10/7 because in addition to what he can do in the build up (which must not be ignored) he's phenomenal at the end of a play as well.
I'll go one step further and commend him in general on his movement off the ball and his reading of the play. There was one instance in the 1st half iirc when we gained possession of the ball near the leftback position and Ronaldo somehow was making the correct run to offer whomever won the ball, the perfect outlet ball. That he's maintained that responsibility (as an outlet and spark for the counter and conduit for possession) whilst taking on the mantle of goalscorer and creator in the final third is fantastic.
