If this should belong in another thread, mods plase move it to a thread it should belong in. Apologies, but i didnt know where to post it.

Anyway what i have to say is the price of the Carling cup tickets against QPR are ridiculous. When i renewed my season ticket i decided to opt-out of carling cup games and then i could go and buy the tickets on the day if i felt like going (i knew i would probably end up doing so anyway). But my point is, my seat is a £35 seat for prem games and £37-£40 seat for champions league games, but i went to check ticket prices for the QPR game and for my seat it says £55 :confused::eek:

Even the cheapest seat is £37, which are actualy £25 prem game seats.

My mate said it was something to do with QPR ticket pricing because the away teams get a greater cut of the gate receipt's for cup games than prem games. And because its QPR, thats why the prices are so expensive.

I thought this was ridiculous, how could a small team like QPR have such authority over the pricing of our tickets? I was expecting the tickets to be around £20. The £55 price tag baffles me. 'Be like a graveyard.

Totally agree... i looked at getting two tickets to this seeing it was on general sale... but i saw the price and decided not to.... Wouldnt be surprised if they lose money compared to the extra sales a cheaper price would of made.

So do you not get the same discount that a One United member would get for these matches? Alright, you opted out originally but it seems weird that you'd then have to pay the extra, non-members fee should you decide to go. After all, your ST is bringing more cash into the club than a OU membership would.

Just checked that out through curiosity (I'm going this one anyway) and was getting quoted £40 as a non-member in East/West upper & tier 2, the same price as normal if you're not with One United. Assuming it would be normal price (£35) for members as well? Tickets available in West lower (101) and East lower (136) for £31..... So £26 for members?

Only guessing what they've got OU prices at for this one as I know it's normally a fiver cheaper, can't actually see 'em.

I know they can reduce the prices for cup games should both clubs come to an agreement. For the 'Boro match, as far as I understand, United didn't even enter negotiations to look into it. Not sure on this one but it doesn't seem to be any dearer than usual (to me).

Well i logged onto the ticket purchasing using my one united member credentials and it said £55 for my seat. So i presume thats including the one united member discount? My seat for premierleague matches would cost £35 per game.

Is that your actual seat or just in the same block?

Don't get that at all unless they're treating it like they normally would with viagogo but it can't be on there as it hasn't sold out. Weird. Where do you normally sit?

You'd be better off making a new e-members account (if it lets you) and buying any old ticket in the same block by the sounds of it or even popping down to the T.O.

Says non members are priced at:

Non-Member Ticket Prices
£53 - North / South Upper Centre
£50 - North / South Upper Wings
£47 - North South Lower Centre
£47 - North Stand Tier 2
£45 - North South Lower Wings
£45 - North / East Quad. Tier 2
£41 - North East/West Quad. Tier 1
£40 - East West Stand Tier 1
£40 - East West Stand Tier 2
£38 - Family Stand
£37 - North Stand Tier 3
£31 - East / West Stand Lower

So would think yours would be cheaper (with the discount).

and.......

SALES TO MEMBERS:
One United Members can purchase a ticket for this game and gain their discount by visiting Ticketing & Membership Services or by calling 0161 868 8000 option 1 and speaking to an operator.

IMPORTANT OPT-OUT INFORMATION:
The deadline to 'opt-out' of this fixture was 20:00 BST on Tuesday 30 September. Additionally any Season Ticket Holders who have chosen to ‘opt out’ of purchasing tickets for all Carling Cup home games during the renewal process, can purchase a ticket for this game by calling 0161 868 8000.

I'd get on to them about that as that £55 isn't making much sense at all. Maybe the website's gone haywire?

I've just checked a link on the united website that i didnt see before, and you are correct, the £55 was for non-members. BUT, it would still be £48 for my seat:

Stand Adult One United Members
North/South Stand Centre £48.00

Thats a huge price increase considering i paid £32 for coventry last year that was in the same location as this...

I just saw that premierleague matches are alslo £48 for my seat. I didnt really have a clue on the prices anymore, ive not checked for ages. I usualy just renew my season ticket and have done with it without really checking the total price for a season, becuase i know that if i did, i would maybe think twice about renewing ;)
