My cousin was in the Army and is now a mechanical engineer working on some projects in the armament field. In the US Army/Air Force manual for the M-16A2/M-4 rifle:
http://www.txmarks.org/cdfiles/Individual%20Weapons/TM%20M-16A2.pdf
there are references in the appendix to the following documents:
1. TI 05538A-15/2A Early warning indications of malfunctions
2. TI 05538A-35/12A Checking muzzle and breech erosion in barrel
He would like copies of those documents or leads on how to get them. TI indicates an Air Force Technical Instruction, but he doesn't know anyone there. He has contacted the rifle manufacturers, but they are highly bureaucratic. I'm pretty sure there is nothing there that is secret or classified.

I've never heard of this and the numeric sequence doesn't match the usual USAF technical manual alphanumeric system (as is demonstrated on the first page of the .pdf file you linked by the 11W3- designator). Sorry, those probably aren't USAF manuals.

http://www.deltagearinc.com/Myths.htmYou found the web site for the company that my cousin is associated with, so the thread has come full circle.
