I feel like the lads left it all out on the field today.( F) our record,( F) the goal differential,(F )it all. They played their asses off and took the MLS champs to overtime on their home pitch. Outside of ESPN2 Banging us for the first ten minutes, I'm mighty proud of the way the lads showed up today. Comments?

I think they turned the season around!

Bring on the Metrodonkeys (who lost tonight and are now only 6 points away!).

Sunday is the day that DC United will win is first road game this year!

I gotta respect the whistle to whistle effort today.
Heads held up, earnestly fought. They deserved a better result. No doubt they took it downtown today!

I am very proud of the way the boys played today. Ben went 90, Mapp got some PT and looked good doing so, Marco, Eddie, on and on...

A win would have been great, but I'll settle for being the only team this season to take points off of SJ in their house.

6 points behind the Scum, with three matches against them - a team we KNOW we can beat....

I'm very proud of the team. This time last season they had packed it in and were playing without any confidence. This year Hudson has them fighting despite being even lower in the standings! Kudos to Hudson being flexible enough to realize that his lack of structure was hurting the team, and adapting famously. :)

It also shows what this team can do with a full lineup. Olsen was a big difference maker, and if he were fully healthy and match fit, we would likely have won. If Moreno had been in full health and on form, there is no doubt that we take 3 from the quakes.

Next season looks good. The only players that look to be slowed by age are Etch and McKinley, everyone else should improve. We'll have a full offseason and preseason together to gain consistency, and we will have 3 or 4 good wingers, 2 decent Dmids and a great starting defense.

I agree with everything here.

And Jaime's finishing can't get much worse! He's bound to put one of those empty net sitters in sometime right??

McKinley can go slower? Is that possible?

Seriously, good match. Not the pretiest goals in DC United history, but certainly the best in the last two months.

And props to Prideaux for standing up to that thug Donovan.

very proud and if we put out that same effort next Sunday, we will end the day 3 points out of a playoff spot.

By that logic Roy Lassiter should be scoring goals and we never would have traded Chris Albright.

I'm so happy about their performance yesterday that I am still tearing up. :)

They played a good game yesterday, it was nice to see for a change. Now the Metro-donkeys are next, they better be prepared to feel the wrath of D.C.!!!

Quality play from the team yesterday. Now that the goal dought has ended it's time to wreak a little havoc on NYC. Just beat them there and at home and I will be happy.

Except for Jaime's continued lack of finishing, I'm very proud of the boys and pleased with the result. DC United took the first point of the season from Spartan stadium (not counting USOC quarters).

Is anybody now psyched to go to the Swamp on Sunday? C'mon, let's get a large group going.

An all-day party fer sure!! :)

The Metros have the worst home record in MLS this season, are mired in dissention, and are playing very lacksidaisical, uninspired and unorganized defense. Mathis is just coming back and hasn't totally integrated into the system yet, so this is the time to steal one up at the swamp. Let's go get em, there will be more empty netters to be had!

I'd been out of the country all summer--this was my first DC game (hell, my first MLS game) since April.
Of course, I was following it all on the internet, hurting bad, wondering if the jinx of moving to DC and then IMMEDIATELY leaving the country for three months put the hex on. Hoping they had some fight left in them for the last few games, the only ones I'd get to see.

WOW!! Forget all the doom-and-gloom stuff I picked up during my absence--what a show! Good for them. I feel a late-season surge coming on.

i was damn proud of our guys. they really showed up and outplayed the best team in the league. we are on our way back, if play at that level the rest of season, we could claw our way into the playoffs.

i am definitely up in new jersey for the game, lets get a huge group!

I was in DC this weekend and was slightly upset that the game wasn't at home but ending the scoreless streak makes up for it!!!!

It was sweet to hear the road trippers banging out "D-C u-NI-ted" across the TV. Nice game, despite my screaming when Jaime missed.

And I know he feels worse about it than I do. :(

Hey. Ho. Let's go.

Very glad to see the play. Very confident. They really looked like a team out there. And SJ has a pretty impressive team, so a road point agaist SJ in very positive. Everything to cheer about. Except Jaime.

Anyone want to go in on sending Jaime to Finishing School? He'd probably be too distracted by all the teenage girls, but I'll contribute $50.
