That is very impressive. Can you believe he actually ran 2700 feet this season!? You don't see that in baseball now.

He took an instant liking to DaMarcus Beasley, whom he thought looked like Soriano, his favorite Yankee. So as a running joke in the house, whenever DMB is on TV, we'll start a So-ri-a-no chant and when Soriano's on, I'll make a smartass remark i.e. "I bet he's pissing right there on the bench - yuck!"

It looks like Soriano could be the next Eric Davis type all around offensive type player.

I remember Eric Davis's best year with the Reds in 1987, I believe... 280+ BA, 37HRs, 100RBIs, 50 SBs.

I think Soriano could do that, if he moved to 2nd in the batting order. Ya figure, he'd drive more in if there was someone else batting in front of him.

Wish he'd strike out less. It's there where Soriano and Davis are most similar.

thank God we kept soriano. just think NYY tried to trade him on a number of occasions. if anyone remembers when he first came up he could not hit a curveball for his life. he would always strike out on them. i knew soriano would get better after he fully made the transition for SS to 2b but i would never had imagined that he would devolop into the calibur player he is today
