You can find this all in wikipedia. 1954, for example (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1954_FIFA_World_Cup), was held on November 30, 1953.

But as a rule of thumb, it's really helpful to add a sentence or two in your post so we can figure out what you are trying to talk about. I don't mean to be a grammar nazi, but seriously, too many people here have never in their lives typed a complete sentence.

World Cup qualifying, not World Cup finals

The draws of world cup qualifying are not set on one specific date. FIFA sets up the FIFA match days, and each confederation chooses which days they'll use. I mean, CAF was still changing their match days and the final round format for the 2010 world cup qualifying ess than a month ago. So I don't know how you can define a single date...

Jwaksman msiunderstands what w-inds. is looking for or something. What w-inds. is looking for has nothing to do with when the FIFA matchdays are because w-inds. if I understand him correctly doesn't care about when the qualifiers are played. At the time of the draw, all the confederations including Africa had determined their qualifying formats, with the possible exception of whether the top two in the final Oceania group would play each other after the group stage or not. The way the African WCQs are used to determine the teams in the Cup of African Nations is not relevant to the World Cup Qualifying draw.

The World Cup Qualifying draw was on November 25, 2007, as w-inds. knew. Some games were played before the draw, with the only group stage games before the draw being in the South Pacific Games in Oceania. Africa and Asia had second draws for the second group stage and CONCACAF has yet to determine the order of matches for its Hexagonal.
For World Cup 1954, a World Cup w-inds. is looking for information on, qualifying started in May 1953 according to Wikipedia, which doesn't mention the date of a qualifying draw.

I would be extremly interested in knowing how the pots were designed for these draws as i am a soccer statistician and like to make a statistic on how certain team improve or decline throughout their history. the pots are a good indicator for that.
