Update: Barry's goal right on half-time was the final goal of the game as Aston Villa held their ground at home with a big 2-1 win over Ajax in the opening game of the UEFA Cup group stage.
Analysis: Villa continues to look like the new challenger for the top four in the Premier League. Sometimes the best moves are the ones you don't make, and not selling Barry to Liverpool in August may have been Villa's best decision of the year.
