Winemakers in France's Languedoc region, which has suffered a reputation of being the 'poor relation' to its Bordeaux and Cote du Rhone cousins, have called their latest product 'Vin de Merde'.

It seems like a good marketing plan since it was even reported by the british media. That's a funny name, though.

A bakery in Bardeaux is also renowned for its name : "au pain dégueulasse".

"Shitty wine" may be a better translation, anyway nobody stated that it was actually made from merde...:eek:
If you have a rubbish car or a phone or whatever, you'll say voiture de merde, téléphone de merde, etc...
