The news was initially reported through si.com.

This is a good news/bad news deal for me.

It was nice to get some good fights on CBS but the managment of the Shaw's was terrible.

The potential good news is that we could get some good match-ups out of the deal with the other big promotions picking up some class fighters.

Robbie Lawler, Jake Shields, Wilson Reis, Paul Daley, Bigfoot Silva, Nick Diaz and others would make very good additions to the UFC or Afliction.

It will be interesting to see if Affliction will be able to capitalize on this or if it just more power to UFC.

I can see why this occurred, but I am still a little disappointed. I was really looking forward to watching the Eddie Alvarez - Nick Diaz fight next month on Showtime. But EliteXC had it coming. Bad management all around. I hope all of the good/legit fighters land on their feet and sign with a good organization that won't fold in 12 months.

I doubt it. Remember Affliction will only put on four fight nights a year. It won't be enough to compete w/ the UFC. I think this will hurt Affliction as well. Sad really, but Big Money rulz the world. Just ask the followers of Pride FC. Just hope Dream (http://www.mmalinker.com/wiki/index.php/DREAM) can stay alive.
