I would be very happy with an away draw in this match,
but considering our inconsistent performances i don´t know
what to expect. I simply hope, that we can avoid huge mistakes
and that the referee also shows a good performance.

One side note:
In not only the defense must improve in comparison to the BL performances,
but also the offense must improve its accurance:

We made the most shots on goal of all CL teams, but only scored one goal.

Lucky break on that first goal by Merte...now there should be more room for counter attacks.

Or not. It is 1-1 at half time and except the irregular goal and a shoot of Diego from outside the area we didn't do anything in this first half. If we continue to play like this it will be very hard to come back with at least a point. I'm getting the feeling that Werder players are happy to get a draw here.

At least Bremen is efficient...while playing crap, they at least scored the equalizer from the second chance in this second half...

And we got one point. After seeing the kind of football we played i'm 99% sure this was the result Werder went after. We played to defensive. We where just someone said here, scared of challenging Pana but in the end we done it. We were lucky to get this point.

Lucky for us Inter won 1-0 against Famagusta and now we're 1 point behind them and 2 ahead of Pana. We now have 2 games where we play against our opponents for the second place and we need at least 4 points.

You played a lot worse in comparison to the game at San Siro, it seems your players were scared by the atmosphere & the fact that you have a bad record against teams from Greece.

özil played well in the last ten minutes... and our strikers were weak, midfield often lost the ball, defense shaky.. but i think Vander (and the Latte) made a few good saves to save the game. we were very lucky to not lose. We play Mailand and Athen at home so things should be better. If we can't make it to the next round, i think it should be a major failure.

In Stuttgart and Gladbach there we didn´t play better.
It´s a ********ed season so far.

The match wasn´t great, but a draw in Athens is a good
and IMHO also deserved result for the 10th of Bundesliga
(Mertesacker played hand, but at the 2-1 it was no corner).

The team survived the difficult tasks at Inter (class team)
and in Athens. Their team may be average , but they aren´t
easy to play and don´t underestimate the fanatic,
partwise unfair fans there: goalkeeper Vander blinded by a laserpointer
many times at corners and freekicks by Pana fans :rolleyes:).
Well, i am happy with a draw there. Now it´s time to improve
and win against Pana at home and away in Cyprus to open
the door to the next round.

3 years ago we lost there 1-2 and won at home 5-1.
So i am confident for a good result at home.
