Again, just a rumor from another discussion board, but:

http://utalk.att.com/utalk/board/message?board.id=Uverse_TV_Programming&view=by_date_ascending&message.id=20578#M20578

Who knows if it's really true, but it's at least a possibility according to this guy's "source". The date he gives is around 11/3.

Interestingly enough, there's also a rumor in there about the VOOM networks. I'd say that if U-Verse does pick up Setanta and WorldSportHD in addition to FSC and GolTV, then I won't be able to say goodbye to Dish quickly enough.

Is FSC part of U-Verse's Sports Pack?

This ESPN360 seems rather nice. :)

No. It is part of their U300 package. Sports Package gets you Gol though. I will be switching to Uverse after thanksgiving.

So they've confirmed the arrival of Setanta. My understanding then is that U300 plus Sports Pack will give you FSC and GolTV.

Here's the press release: http://www.tvover.net/2008/10/27/ATT+Uverse+TV+Expands+HD+Channel+Lineup+And+Ethnic+Programming.aspx

AT&T adds to its U-verse TV channel lineup, including more than 30 new HD channels and new international programming packages for Chinese, Polish, Russian, French and European-sports audiences.

Beginning Nov. 3, U-verse TV customers will receive up to 30 new HD channels at no additional charge as part of their existing HD service subscription, depending on their programming package. With the additions, U-verse TV offers more than 75 HD channels -- exceeding the HD channel lineups offered by the major local cable providers in every U-verse market.

...

Setanta Sports, featuring exclusively live European and international soccer, rugby and other sports, for $15 a month.

Now I just have to wait for AT&T to finish installing boxes and I will be able to jump on the bandwagon....

Hooray! I was just flipping through channels and saw SETANT on channel 657 and had a minor flipout. I'll have to call AT&T to figure out how to order it.

ETA: So the AT&T guy had no idea what I was talking about. Apparently they haven't updated it to where the salespeople can add it to my account. So maybe I'll call back later this week.

Yeah I would call back after the 3rd. I doubt salespeople know anything about it until at the very earliest a day or so before the channels get added.

I'm surprised you can't order it through your remote, but maybe they're doing it this way so that kids don't "accidentally" order "stuff" they're not "supposed" to see.

Okay, I called back today and they still had no clue about it so I read that press release Achtung linked to a little bit closer.

AT&T is also expanding the ethnic programming available on U-verse TV with several new packages for its diverse customer base including:

Setanta Sports, featuring exclusively live European and international soccer, rugby and other sports, for $15 a month.

The new international packages are available starting Nov. 10 and can be added to any U-verse TV core programming package.

So drats! I'll have to live with the torture of seeing the Setanta channel on my guide but not being able to watch any of it until November 10! Baaaaaaah.
