Hello!
I'm glad to find out another season thread about Modena. I used to run this thread last season (Sue probably does remember), but I gave up due to low audience ... Let's start a new one and hope things could go better.
GO CANARIES!

After the 2 games with Juventus and Milan, and waiting for Brescia on Sunday, the Canaries are preparing the Coppa Italia match against Lazio: it's scheduled on December 3, kickoff at 6 pm.
If you wanna see some pics from yesterday game, check out the official site here

Amoruso - such a disappointment yesterday. And with all the good work by Camera - what a waste. Modena deserved at least a point out of those two games. Unless something goes dreadfully wrong, I don't picture them (or Siena, for that matter) getting dragged down into the relegation battle.

I saw the game in the evening, stuck @ home with flu. We made a good game, specially in the first half and - as you noted - we had almost a couple of chances to go ahead. But the difference between Modena and Milan is that they have some players able to find out suddenly the right move. That's what Shevchenko did.

Honestly I feel much more angry thinking to the game we lost at home last week against Juventus: I don't know if you saw the highlights, but the free kick on the first goal was taken in a wrong position and the referee decisions - in the first half - were all in one way. Most newspapers and tv shows pointed that, so people can't say it's only pure inventions.

Anyway, it conforts me the good things shown during these games: coach Malesani said we had to be smarter (referring to Juventus game) and more cynical in the opposite area (Milan game), but overall he's proud of the team performances.

I saw the Juventus game, and I think I posted in another thread that goal was bogus.

If Modena avoids relegation, this article suggests they will bring Milan assistant coach Mauro Tassotti over to coach next season.

http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/apr15f.html

Tassotti is best-known for busting Luis Enrique's nose in the closing minutes of Italy's quarterfinal win over Spain at WC94, an incident unseen by the referee, but caught on video - Tassotti was subsequently banned for 8 games by FIFA, and it was the last time he ever played for Italy.
