Maybe someone can explain this to me because I can't think of one good reason to do what they do, but they do it all the time... what they "do" is NOT show the score... why?

I was trying to flip between Canada - Mexico (telemundo) and Trinidad-USA (espn) the other night but I eventually stopped and left it on the USA game because whenever I turned to Canada-Mexico I had no idea what the score was because they NEVER show it.

Is there any reason they do this, or are they just idiots?

This is what I'm talking about:

I just pulled this off google, but it's how they do all their matches... they have all this info in the corner but they don't show the most important thing: the score of the match!! WTF?

...In my defense

I think it's because they want people to watch the games until the score is shown.

It's all about ratings.

They don't want people just tuning into to see the score of a game.

Well, I know it backfires in the case of the OP as well as myself. If I saw the score, I might be intrigued enough to watch the game a little, but I get so annoyed that I don't know the score that I just find something better to watch altogether. If this does in fact result in higher ratings for Telemundo, more power to them.
