To Me The Reason My MNT Fails is not because of talent because we know how technical haitian and skill full haitian players unlike most in the concacaf..The Reason is because of the dumb asses that are handling how to run the ********ing team (coaches, Federation). These guys have such a big ego that they let the best coach in decades go because he wouldn't do what they wanteed him to do ( like call up players they like not players that were performing) Another reason is Coach JEROME ROLAND..This mother ********er is so stupid that me and some of my teammates to quit the team that was to open the new park in lil haiti..The federation claims they dont have any money, they only have a 10,000 budget a month to work with all the Levels.
So for all of you that say haitians can't well ******** you we the best in the caribean and will always be no matter what when Haiti gets a good coach Like emilio garcia back you better be damn sure that we will tear up the caribbean once again

They qualified for the WC 74 and were close to qualifying for the WC 70
In these times CONCACAF had only 1 qualifying team for the world cup finals, world cup finals were played with only 16 teams (as opposed to the 32 right now)

No hurricanes or whatever. We were not ready, the other Teams in the group were better and they kicked us out period. We saw ourselves bigger than we were really. Hope we do better next time. I just want to apologize to the Salvador fans to have so much underrated their Team.(lol)

That is probably the main reason, but of course we should never forget the low budget the Haitian Soccer Federation has
I costs money to prepare a team, lots of money... and if you don't have that money, the team is less prepared

The reason why Haiti failed? There are many. Yes haitian players are talented, there is no doubt, but the structure in Haiti has got to be one of the weakest in the region, maybe in the world. At the youth level there is not a problem, because at these levels, talent alone can get you far. Example...the U-17s made the last WC and the U-20s came very close. But at the senior level things are different. How do you expect a senior team to make it when they are on a 10 000$ US a month budget...for the whole structure...from u15 girls to senior team. So money is a huge issue. Now why can't we get more money. Thats the federation's fault. They can never come up with the necessary money to prepare the team. Always an excuse, always begging on tv for money. Those idiots dont know how to manage anything. What about the coaching? Haiti has not had a real international coach in years. Again without money how are you going to pay a coach? How are you going to pay for plane tickets for overseas players. We had a contingent of pretty good overseas players that were suposed to come and play the WCQ matches. Like someone said, back in the 70s when Haiti was one of the top teams in Concacaf, they had support from the government back then. Almost unlimited ressources. The Haitian league was going great, the clubs were doing great in the region etc etc...

Maybe not really, I have read that Haiti is the poorest country of the Americas, so I imagine that the central government does not have the capacity to give big amounts of dollars to the haitian soccer federation
But the talent as you have mentioned is there, the U17 did a great job and the U20 almost as well
Probably, Haiti will have a very strong MNT within the next 5 years

Poverty of the country is not the central issue here. Last time I checked, Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras were poor countries, last time I checked Togo and Ghana were poor countries ( those last two made the last world cup). In todays football, its more a question of sponsorship. The only revenue we have in Haiti and the only sponsor is Digicel. 10 000$ a month. Thats it. Now our federation does not have the ability to attract foreign sponsors and dont have the ability to attract local investments into the team.

Even though in general terms Ghana could be considered poor, for African standards that country is pretty well off.

I believe Canada is a rich country as well, although their soccer federation is probably not that rich
But as you say, Haiti is the unfortunately the POOREST country of Concacaf

Canada of course is a rich country the federation is actually pretty well off if you compare to the rest of Concacaf. Don't forget Canada hosted the U-20 world cup and made alot of money from that.

We actually lost $2 Million on that tournament, if you can believe that! FIFA covered the losses though...the CSA has revenues of $13M annually and budgets $5M for all the NT's.

Their qualification in '74 was tarnished by 4 disallowed legitimate goals that Trinidad and Tobago scored but wasnt registered and 3 FIFA officials who were subsequently banned for life from ever officiating another football game was played. After that appearance haiti has been in CFU's football wilderness until their first ever CFU Cup title in 2007.;)

The reason Haiti fails is because theyre garbage. Its not because of money. Canada is in the same boat like Haiti. They fail all the time and yet they have money.
Youre just not good enough at this level thats why you lose all the time.;)
