It is cool to now take Tyler's name off the list from above.

The Dallas Cup is upcoming as seeing as how our U-19's are the defending champions they will have their work cut out for them.

The Academy will play the We're from Richmond but don't call us that Houston Leones at the Carl Lewis Field on Wednesday night. Kickoff is at 7 IIRC.

They also have the HFA tourney this weekend to prep the sqaud for the trip up to Dallas in April.

TAKE MORE SCALPS DYNAMO YOUNG GUNS!

I posted the opening group match results here but they are gone(???)...so here is the next group match.

Do recall that our young guys are looking to defend their title.

Houston Dynamo Academy 2, South Coast Bayern (CA) 0
Dallas Cup, U-19 Group C
Pizza Hut Park
April 7, 2009

Dynamo Academy goals - Steven Salinas, Josue Morales

Dynamo Academy: Patrick Wall, Jorge Escobar, Edward Estrada, Gerardo Gomez, Mateo Jimenez, Josue Morales, Alan Cuevas, Steven Salinas - capt, Josue Garcia, Mozesh Gyorio, Christian Cruz,.
Substitutes: Juan Valdez, Carlos Manrique, Sebastean Bahos, Isaiah Noriega, Carlos Farias, Abe Matamoros.

Our Dynamo Lads are now 2-0 in group play and have the very strong Dallas Texans to face next in a rare U.S. MLS based rivalry being displayed in the Dallas Cup.

This Isaiah Noriega young man is 15 and just got called up to the U-19's. I like hearing of such progression.

No, not really.

Jorge Vergara should think about looking at the academys of the East. Historically speaking, the East has been far more successful then the West both nationally and internationally.

America and Cruz Azul has no business being in Texas. Well...besides looking for Mexican-Americans willing to eventually play in their teams. In short, very little gain for the Dynamo.

I guess you haven't had the "pleasure" of running into gethomas' genius. Ignore his posts, you'll be a better human being for it.
