1. it's not the easiest to use at full speed, but i used to practice a spin move a lot. it's kind of a variation of the hook and roll you see them get away with in the NBA.
as you approach the defender head on, you come in front of the ball (with your left foot, for example), placing your body between the defender and the ball. then, you're going to place your right foot even with, or possibly slightly behind, the defender's right foot (essentially trying to screen this leg off). then, with your left foot, you want to drag the ball over to the leftside of your right foot, completing the full 360 and now going forward again. if done well, you keep your body between yourself and the opponent almost the entire time.
hope that makes sense in writing. it's easier to diagram and demonstrate.
2. how about the Blanco bunny hop?

The 360 spin works (I've beaten a lot of defenders with it), isn't very hard, and looks really impressive - especially if you can do it while dribbling at full speed. Learn to do it going both left and right. Also, instead of taking the ball with the inside of the foot after the spin, I usually take it with the outside of the same foot. That variation can be useful at times.
If you'd prefer to keep it simple, hip fakes, scissors behind the ball, and the Matthews have all worked for me against Div 3 college opposition.

>>NcOdp the Ronold involves a step over when you roll the ball though your leg. I think that anyone looking for a wide varation of moves should go for some corver coaching tapes or camps. corver calls the 360 move the Bergkamp even though i have never seen him pull that move in my life but who knows maybe his version of it is to fast for me to catch. That move works very well also if the defender is in a foot race with you and you need to pull ahead with the ball especially on a break to the goal. Ziedane's roll and push move is very good to go between to defenders or to open up space especially if you can manage to do it all in one motion while off the ground it looks sharp as anything you will ever see too.

How do you do Ronaldo's move?

Ronaldos move is a pull anda step over and if done at good speed it works well. as you are dribbling roll the ball with the sole of your right foot to your left leg then step over it with your left and move forward once you loose the defender controlling the ball with the top of your left foot it opens space well if done right. i recomend doing it with both feet so you can pull it on either side of the feild just switch the directions around to use it with your other foot

Ronaldo's move is more of a pull and a step around i think, and if you do it right and quickly you put spin on it so the ball really never leaves your foot. If you have seen someone do 'inside-outside' it is the opposite of that, outside-inside it could be called.
That hop is cool if you are deaking out your friend, but stupid in a game IMO.
Very good explanation of the move blech, thank you very much, i will try it out in practice.
What is Zidane's roll and push move?
It sounds pretty cool but i have never seen it before. I will go search on kazaa, but i doubt i will be able to find it, and if i do i probably won't know if that is it or not.
Also, how did you practice the Ronaldo move at first you guys(Nc ODP and Jc18star, and anyone else who can do it)?
I can do it slowly at a stand still in bare feet so easily and convincingly.
In shoes i can still do it pretty well at a stand still.
If I try to do it with speed i find it almost impossible...
how did you practice(or could you just do it when you first tried)?

Hambone its possible that we may be thinking of diffrent moves or i am just misunderstanding how you are describing the Ronaldo but the way i was taught in corver camps and the way it is taught to the kids i coach by the corver coach we hired is the way i described it but people call all diffrent moves diffrent things like corver has a fancy name for every move even if it doesnt need a name like the outside step over or the scissor is called the Van Bastan i guess they like to name moves with players to identify them eaiser. the Zeidane is roll and push is a modified version of his regular move in corver camp where you push the ball inside to your other foot then push it forward with the foot teh ball was moved to. I am very god at rolling the bal with the bottom of my foot so i sometimes roll it instead of pushing it to my opposite foot or when i am feeling real fancy i roll it with one foot and leave the ground and roll it forward with the other foot wheile still in the air with out either foot hitting the ground before i have move past my defender it takes time to perfect it that way and you will bust your buut once or twice but when you can do it well it is one of those "oh my god did he just do that to that other guy" moves. Oh yeah i got the Ronaldo down pat in one try, i guess its because the move involves rolling the ball

there's a move where you hit the ball one way with your heel, but as you bring your foot back straight, the toe hits the ball in the opposite direction. It's easy to do when you walk with a soccer ball, but at full speed i've only ever seen it done correctly once.

helmzgk...I think the move that you are describing is what i have always thought of as the Ronaldo move.
Have you ever heard that Zidane move called something like crazy legs because I think the move you describe Jc18star is a move i call crazy legs. That move is hard. I can do it but i don't like to get that fancy in games....once again i think it is a move for deaking out your friends in practise just to show off :)

Hambone..... i guess its just one of those things when diffrent people or schools have diffrent names for moves than others i think that my version of the ronaldo is really named after him though kinda like the Cryuff and the Matthews( because they more or less perfected their respective moves) because the futebol de salao school in england calls it the ronaldo too but then again they call the running rainbow the Juninho so who knows. While i kinda agree with you about the bunny hop(not to fancy just a little to ineffective although i have done it one or two times to avoid a late challenge on a break to goal) i dont think Zidanes move is too fancy to pull because at high levels you need to be able to do those types of moves in a game for space to get forward but i guess we are just a diffrent style of player but thats what makes football such a great game the contrast in players style and skill sets. I would be intrested in you further explaining what the move you call a Ronaldo is i bet i have seen it done and am just calling it by a diffrent name let me know how to pull it off i would be intrested in seeing if i can learn to do it in a game

Here a movie will better explain it. If you have KaZaa search for Ronaldo elastico, if you find the right movie it will be ronaldo deaking out a black guy. The guy he deaks out will end up flailing around and almost falling over.
It's number 9 versus number 4
All it is is outside inside but for some reason it is hard to do at a high speed.

I know the move you are talking about now when i learned it was called the Revilino this dude i played indoor against one time did it right after a step over a couple times and meg this guy on my team everytime it was real funny, its a good move when you are on a direct run at the defender

My first two page thread :)
On Kazaa, there is also a movie of Ronaldinho doing that same move at a really quick speed running at a defender that is soooo awesome he deaks him cleanly.
Another move i thought of is one where you are moving slowly. The move is done all with one foot. You pretend to lose control so the defender pokes at the the ball. Then, just when the defender starts to poke you pull it back and touch it once or twice to get it around your supporting leg. Next, you sprint away with a defender chasing behind you :D
Ronaldinho also does this move except he can flick it up into the air as he does it.
I love Ronaldinho he is such an awesome player!!
other than world cup do they EVER play soccer on tv in north america???? It is so annoying to be so obsessed with soccer and watch hockey all the time!
is there some internet tv site where you can watch soccer games?????

Fox sport net and PPV are your best bet to watch soccer thats not the MLS but even if you want to settle for that its on Saturdays at 4 pm est on ESPN or ESPN2. Ronaldinho is pretty sick when he has the ball at his feet I think he will be the next big star for Brazil that kid Kaka that was on the squad for the cup but didnt play(hes 19 years old) will be nice come 2006 also

I don't know if this is the same move the guy is talking about, but this used to be one of my favorite moves. It involves change of speed which I like a lot.
All you do is fake one way then go the other. Normally the defender will be right beside you after you do this, probably going faster than you because you have to dribble and he doesn't. When this is the position you turn on the speed for one step. Quickly stop, using the outside of your foot then step over (or just go around the ball) like you are going to go back where you came and when he goes for the fake blow by him taking the bal with the inside of the foot that you just stepped over with.
There's also a simpler version where you basically just run. Stop the ball with the bottom of your foot, then just as the defender stops restart the ball and run as fast as you can by rolling your foot over the ball really quickly.
