Honduras are indeed favorites I think.
Say a prayer. It would be a shame.
Honduras has a good enough team to beat Mexico, especially now that they're playing at home.
One thing you got to understand is that Mexico hasn't really played with their best players throughout this qualification round.
The first game against Honduras was the closest we've come to fielding our strongest XI.
For one, having Oswaldo in goal has become a huge liability (tell your players to shoot from distance!!) and losing Magallon has been a bigger blow than most imagined, although Galindo is a more than adequate replacement, especially for this game.
Don't expect to see the same Mexico from past games.
I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing yet, either way, good luck to both teams.

that's another thing I don't understand from Concacaf, they should schedule all the official games on Fifa dates. Just shows the fabulous administrative skills your friend Jack. ROFL
Game will be insane. Mexican press is making way too much emphasis on how the fans are going to treat them. I really don't think this is an issue and remember the whole thing that happened when Mejia baron when he was coach happened en el Estadio Morazan. This where the game shoulda been played but they will make more money on the Olympico and its a safer stadium.

Mexico will pro try to arive like a few days before to get adjusted....the draw back to that is training.....and altitude(for Mexico)
Because the MNT will be training at the Centro de Alto Redimiento high above Mexico City so when they come down from Cencentramiento they will then feel the effect of droping from a high altitude to low....so im sure mexico will be in honduras a few days before to let the players adjust....

Yeah, but training in altitude and then playing at sea level gives you better conditioning and stamina. That is part of the reason why Mexican players have so much stamina.

I am not worried about the honduran fans but the guatamalan ref I know he is gonna screw us over some way or another watch and see I can guarantee it.

him and nery should start against honduras....
Definitely. Vela began to prove himself yesterday against a hard nosed team.
I saw the whole Arsenal thrashing of Wigan yesterday (Palacios was very good (not his usual outstanding though), too bad the rest of the team couldn't find the net.
Nery is the most difficult Mexican to contain I think. He and Vela would be a handful, and should def. start!

ahhhhhh, we'll see how Mexico handles the pressure of this away game, because they have struggled hard playing away, very hard to adapt i guess, and if they do struggle to adapt quick then it will be a long day for El Tri. hopefully the crowd gives El Tri a hard time.

I thought Palacios, along with DeRidder, were Wigan's best players yesterday.
He's setting himself up for a move to a bigger club by next summer.
Figueroa also played well and to his credit, none of the goals came from his side, if I recall correctly.

only one goal this season against wigan has come on his side. Witan's problem is that there is lack of understanding between their two best players Valencia and Wilson. They have to learn to mix more effectively. Vela was awesome.
Just some advice for my mexie friends, don't think nery will be such a factor. I think if erickson is smart he would use vuoso as he can head the ball pretty well which is our biggest weakness.
Us on the other hand we have to use speed, like jamaica and Canada did, also take full advantage of set pieces. The crowd has to be loud and just make the verdes feel uncomfortable. One week for the big game.

Nery may not be sharp and may lack match fitness but a player like him only needs a few looks at goal to make something happen.
Earlier this year, he showed up for Mexico's game against Ghana in a similar situation, having just returned from injury and not being exactly fit.
He was one of our best players that game.
We'll see how he plays tonite.

Nery looked like a baby at church today, all he did was whine becuase the refs weren't being tricked by his frantic dives...he's not I game shape so we probably won't see him starting againt honduras..

True but two players were carded for going after him and when he was subbed out, the trainer had to ice his face after an ecuadorian player elbowed him.
He did act like a little bitch for parts of the game though.
