A BBC blog mentions the following:
"I cannot accept that training ground attitude and sweetie wife behaviour decide whether you play on a Saturday."
In regard to Kris Boyd's not being picked, and leaving aside the questions about that to the other thread, can someone translate "Sweetie wife behaviour" for me? Everytime I think I have all the Scots phraseology down from my dozen visits over there plus hundreds of hours with expats watching matches over here, a new one comes up to stump me.
What is "Sweetie wife behaviour" and what does it have to do with Boyd's situation particularly.
Thanks in advance for any linguistic help from our resident Scotsmen.
