Mexico's Supreme Court cleared the way Wednesday for the possible arrest of former officials implicated in the disappearance of leftist activists in the 1960s and 1970s.

I see this as a good thing. Crimes by the police and the government should not be swept under the rug. Thankfully the people in Colombia voted down Uribes proposal that would grant rebels and paramilitary fighters amnesty for massacres.

Arrests? In this Mexico known as "El Pais de nunca jamas?" I doubt it.

I thought Uribe was going to be a savior against the "war on terrorism" in Colombia?

That's how the spanish speaking media portrays him here in the states...
