The Houston man who made those racist slurs against Crayton just called World Soccer Daily and apologized to Crayton, United and all other Houston supporters. He said he was sending a written apology to DC United tomorrow. He also said he wants to apologize to Crayton in person.

(Granted we don't know if that was the actual person)

Oh, he's apologizing for the Crayton thing?

I'm still waiting for Houston fans to apologise for Zach Wells and those ugly orange uniforms.

I think they apologized for each by crushing Revs dreams and hopes, I'll take that :D

I was more thinking along the lines of this:

http://www.weau.com/home/headlines/27669069.html

An Eau Claire man who damaged city property has a couple options for making amends.

Eau Claire County Judge Paul Lenz says Shane McQuillan can spend 20 days in jail, or he can wear a sign for a day that reads "I was stupid."

The 22-year-old McQuillan pleaded guilty to criminal damage to property after driving into the front gate of the Eau Claire waste water treatment plant last March after he had been drinking.

Judge Paul Lenz says McQuillan would be required to stand in front of the plant wearing the sign for an entire day, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A criminal complaint says McQuillan told the officer who arrested him near the treatment plant he had been drinking and "was just being stupid." The complaint says McQuillan's blood alcohol content was 0.238. The legal driving limit is 0.08.

There's no immediate word on which option McQuillan will choose.

"So like, I apologised. Can I have my season tickets back?" ;)

"So like, I apologised. Can I have my season tickets back?" ;)

Exactly. It's not like he's apologizing from remorse or guilt, it's because he got caught, and he's trying to squirm his way out of his punishment.

If it's good enough for Crayton, it's good enough for me.

True. But he didn't have to apologise at all and certainly didn't have to write a letter or offer to apologise in person. I say we take it at face value and move on from this whole ugly mess. Props to Houston for taking swift action by tossing the idiot from the stadium and apologising to Crayton as well.

There's a play-off at stake and we should focus our energies there. We can hate on Houston again when we see them in the play-offs. :D

I think it's important to give people a chance at redemption.

I, for one, would not like my life to be defined by the times where I've been stupid.

No free passes, mind you. But those to whom this fan is communicating can be the judges of his sincerity.
