I would like to think that anyone who disrespects another man like that has a soul so full of ugliness that nobody could be happy inside there. Hating feels terrible, and if Louis Crayton can be man enough to not hate back he will have won life's game.

Beat me to it. My impression is that the Houston supporters are as diverse as we are. I'm sure that miss Riz would not want to paint them all with such a broad brush.

They're a good group for the most part. I don't think this is anything anyone in TA or EB would condone.

The fact that he was able to jump up the barrier to give chase gives me hope that his arm/shoulder is ok... gotta make lemonade sometimes.
Thursday:
-------------------------Crayton---------------------------
Thompson-----Peralta---------Janicki--------------Burch
--------------------------Simms---------------------------
McTavish------------------------------------------Guerrero
-------------------------Moreno----------------------------
------------------Tino------------Emilio--------------------
That's a winning line-up at home against a Ralston-less Revs who have already clinched a playoff spot.

Why was Namoff given a second yellow for accidentally slapping a guy on the top of the head but DeRo doesn't get a second yellow for cleating Martinez in the thigh?
Most upsetting about the red card was that it was obviously an overreaction by the referee in response to the escalating fouls and emotions over the previous five minutes, an escalation in physicality that was largely introduced by the Dynamo.
DC tends to have players who either aren't physical at all or who are so clumsy in their physical play that they are always called for fouls and cards. Houston, NE, and Chicago a few years ago were able to basically foul the other team every time they touched the ball but do it subtly enough that they rarely got called until finally Christian Gomez is so angry he's spitting at CJ Brown.
I both dislike this strategy and envy the ability of other teams to employ it. It's one of the many reasons we miss Olsen as well.

Part of that is quality, part of that is referee prejudice/incompetence, and part of it is reputation.

We need some positive Crayton banners for the next game. Absolute crap that someone would say something like that these days.
it sounds like asshole not assholes. Just sayin.
Riz types with one hand these days ;), so yes, asshole is what I meant.

Louis Crayton played a superb game. This league needs more players like him. Unorthodox and exciting to watch, and talented as well.

"I am a human being like you.' I jumped over to ask him why he insulted me, and he kept going."-Crayton
I love his reaction. Calm, rational and intelligent.
Louis "Cheyenne" Crayton. We love you bro! I wish all of our population were Cheyenne, too. Unfortunately, there are a lot of SOBs, and you have to be vigilant at all times.

I think a sign is in order, preferably incorporating a slogan using hatin and Crayton.

Don't know if Crayton's instigator is hard core hater or lazy bigot, either way- how many of these racial insult occurences has the league suffered this season? Wasn't it Chicago's fans that had signs promoting tolerance by way of no tolerance towards racism?
My hope is the league take on a public service message blitz and knock back a bit at these largely ignorant attacks. What better sport to attack racism than one who's players represent nearly every corner of the globe? And that's to say nothing of the diversity of the fans, who I'm sure if we polled collectively, not only disapprove but nearly abhor having their sport associated with such behaviour. I know I do.
As to the match, outstanding defensive effort, still some form to improve on, but I couldn't get over how well we handled that cursed bouncing ball- I cringed every time it approached our half of the pitch, especially after the Saprissa match.
Even as I basked in the pride of what tensively was becoming a shut-out, even a man down! - I couldn't help feel a bit upset at not coming up with a bit more offense there in the final 15 minutes. My feeling was- you've done the monumental hard work in getting to 0-0 at this point, now spend 5 minutes and get the goal, the three points and a bit of their heart.
Our club should take enough pride from these past 2 road ties to take a bit of defensive swagger, just enough to keep their motivation high for these last 2 matches.
As to next matches line-up, I'll go yours a bit better, seeing yours still has both Khumalo and Martinez on the bench.
---------------------Crayton---------------------------
Martinez--------Peralta--------Janicki-------------Burch
Khumalo--------------Simms--------------------Guerrero
--------------------------Moreno----------------------
----------------Emilio--------------Quaranta-----------
subs: ??? Doe,Zaher,Vide, McTavish, Cordeiro, Thompson, Dyachenko???
I throw the kitchen sink at NE and Columbus(who hopefully having nothing to play for, will try their reserves too.); whatever's leftover or experiments are needed use the CCL for.
Let the March of Pride begin- and lead our club to glory!!

I have rarely been prouder of our team's efforts than I was last night. Playing against a very tough opponent in their (crap) stadium and playing with almost all our skill players missing, I thought they did fantastically well.
What I liked most was the toughness I saw, both mental and physical. It was never going to be a pretty game, but they did what they had to do. There was a lot of hoofing of the ball out of our defensive third, and a lot of seemingly aimless long-ball passing into open space, but that tactic relieved pressure on our defense and allowed us to keep our shape.
I like how Khumalo plays, but it's quite apparent that he has no business being a lone forward. There was a huge difference in that position when Doe came in. He knew how to receive the ball, bring it down to his feet, and drop it off for other players.
Crayton came up big and made all the saves he had to, including the game-saving dive to the post where it looks like he injured himself. He's still a little too adventuresome for my tastes, but overall, I think he's good for the team. I'm very sorry to hear about the post-game incident.
Sure, I would have liked more offensive production, but that was going to be a tough ask even if we had our full team available.
I still don't think we have any real chance of making the playoffs, and it kills me to think of all the games we gave away this year, but I feel much better about the team now than I did a couple of days ago.

Wow!! That's just awful. Damn rednecks misrepresenting my home state.
In context - 1 spectator from amongst over 17 thousand who attended the game. Ejected immediately from the stadium and banned by the Dynamo indefinitely.
