Astorian? Smiley?
Here's some lyrics. I don't knw if they're accurate. Male vox, sounds kinda like Stephen Bishop.
Shake it baby- shake it all you can tonight
Break it, baby- break him while you can tonight
'Cause it won't last forever
Do it for worse or for better
But give the boy something to dream on later
This song is at least 20 years old, but I never knew the title or artist. Thanks in advance.

It will help if you put genre or around what year the song came out. You said 20 years ago is that an estimate or did this sone in deed come out in 83?

It's a pop tune. Probably 1978-1980, rather than '83. No earlier than '76.

Never mind... I found it. The artist's name is Ian Matthews.

www.google.com
type in "lyric" then part of the words.
example: (hyphen option)
lyric - But give the boy something to dream on later
that should work for most songs.. of course, you'll probably run into problems with re-makes and perhaps rare songs, but for most cases, it'll work.

Check out www.discogs.com too. They have a message board, etc. Some fans there may know what you're talking about too.

Lyrics like this seem better suited for 2 Live Crew or Poison Clan.

A quick Google search yielded "Shake It" by Ian Matthews.
