Anyone notice that just about every Cuban player was wearing Copa Mundials?
Seemed fitting for a country where 50 yr old cars are the norm to use a boot that first came out 25 yrs ago. At first I thought all of their players were wearing them but noticed that a couple of their "go to" guys (#11 and #15) wore Powerswerves. I guess privilege still exists in Cuba. Not a big thing, just found it interesting. And like mentioned iin threads after game in Cuba, I found the Cuban players to be very sporting although they were quite tired and frustrated at the end.

By the way, I am a fan of Copa's and always have a pair in my bag.

a) I first misread this and though the title was "Old School Boats".

b) What percentage of bigsoccer owns a pair of mundials? 50%?60%?70%

a) Wasn't a very good thread title, was it? I just found it interesting.
USMNT was out there mostly in there $200 Nikes while Cuba was
playing in their $85 Copas

b) That is a good question. I'm sure it is a high percentage. If I was a coach and everyone on the team had to wear the same boot, Copa would be one I would consider. They are great to molding to just about
every kind of foot shape. Of course as coach, would still need to convince Fidel the need for World Cups for soft conditions.

Their boots were made for walking.
