good article on the suprising teams in Europe Hull City in England and Hoffenheim in Germany, both of these teams werent seen as possible champioship contenders but after their displays this season, that has changed
http://sports.yahoo.com/sow/news?slu...v=ap&type=lgns

You really don't believe Hull City is a true Premiership contender, do you??

It is a very long season and I think Hull is a "Championship Contender".

As in a contender to return to "The Championship....." ;) :D

For those of you who don't know, "The Championship" is the English Second Division.

I think Hoffenheim could possibly wind up in the top five in the Bundesliga, but they will have to be very lucky.

Again, it is a long season.

I'd like to see what happens to them if Obasi and Ba get hurt at the same time.

They had a hard time in the 2nd Bundesliga when Obasi or Ba and Carlos Eduardo were injured at the same time.

Things have been clicking on all cylinders for Hoffenheim so far and it has been beautiful to watch.

I wish them all the best, but I can't sit here and say things will continue to go like this the entire season.

There is a good reason a story like this has only happened once before in the Bundesliga's history......

Take away most teams top three players and they will struggle.

I mentioned three players, but I talked about two being out at the same time. Hell, you can even add Salihovic to that list.

You really think I'm dumb enough to say "If they lose their top three players, they'll have problems?"

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out Eddie.

Give me some credit here.

any info on how Carlos Eduardo is playing? Do the fans like him? Did he score goals?

Im a Grêmio fan, and this kid was trully great at Grêmio. Better than 95% of the players on the brazilian national team.

3-1 against Bochum ! Back on top, 22 points, amazing 27 goals in 10 matches !

another fascinating game from the boys ! they showed a great reaction after the first half.

The first half was the worst performance I've seen from them in a long time, 45 minutes later they finish as the deserved winner. The last 20 minutes were more training than playing.

Rangnick , GOD ! He did so many good subs today. Salihovic was off the track - Tobi Weiss did so much for our attacking. For me Gustavo the worst on the pitch. So slow, so many lost balls. Our D.T was right to bring Isaac. Luiz Gustavo will miss the next game due to 5th yellow card.

The third goal from Carlos was so hoffenheim'ish, brilliant. :)

@ AcesHigh

Carlos Eduardo is getting better with every game. He did a very nice goal and gave one asist today.

Demba Ba had a nice goal too.

The TSG fans were great. 'SIEG' !

He's been in stunning form all season and the Hoff fans would be mad not to love him at the moment.

gosh, i feel like crying.

if brazilian clubs had the money to keep the players raised in the clubs, Grêmio today would have a team featuring Ronaldinho, Anderson, Lucas Leiva and Carlos Eduardo (among others)

@ AcesHigh

I have a Brazilian friend (his sister & her Italian hubby own the best pizzeria in my city) who's from Porto Allegre and a great fan of your club. ;)

He's responsible that my local 2nd league club signed THIS (http://www.transfermarkt.de/de/spieler/38659/cidimar/transferdaten.html) guy from your city 2 years ago.

Btw: Carlos Eduardo is a joy to watch (although I'm no Hoffenheim sympathizer, I have to admit that)!

I had an american friend in the seychelles who moved there from porto alegre...he was a big gremio supporter and i even borrowed that shirt a few times ;)

That's bitter, I know. I am a great admirer of south american footballers.

Do you know why Lucas was so cheap ? Liverpool got him for nothing, and he is such a great footballer...

Just popping in to say at the moment I'm really enjoying watching your squad in a match against Karlsruhe, on GolTV. Good energy, great attitude, super support.

Well done!

5th victory in a row including the english week - the dream continues !

Ibi and Edu are a perfect match, shame that Demba did not score. Karlsruhe was one of the hardest and best teams we have played so far, no doubt. They did not make it easy for us.

31 goals in 11 matches. 13 for Ibi. Can't wait to see them trashing Hertha. I will be there !

I had to smile when the Fans were waving white kerchiefs :D , reminds me of a great club..

Hoffenheim has made it clear none of their stars are going anywhere.

Dietmar Hopp doesn't need Roman Abramowich's money.....
