Well from what I gathered the person thought that it was some sort of miracle the way Hoffenheim has made it here, when in reality, its not.

Of course it was no miracle. But they have done it in ways other clubs who come in to big money refuse to do it.

From the ground up.........

Yeah, he is. Why would anyone joke like that?

Out of curiosity...you're both a Pachuca and Hoffy fan?

According to reports here in Germany, Hoffenheim has acquired another striker. And a decent one in my opinion.

Hoffenheim has acquired Werder Bremen striker Boubacar Sanogo on loan for the rest of the season.

Sanogo is an Ivory Coast international and Hoffenheim does have an option to buy Sanogo at the end of the loan deal.

Sanogo is under contract to Werder Bremen through the 2010-2011 season.

Other than the buy option, neither club commented on the terms of the deal.

Sanogo was to travel to Hoffenheim today to finalize the deal and get his medical done so he can be registered in time to face Energie Cottbus on Saturday.

Sanogo said: "This is a surprise. I am happy and sad at the same time. I am very comfortable with this team and this club (Bremen), but I will probably have better chances to play in Hoffenheim.

Here is a link to the kicker article. (http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/bundesliga/startseite/artikel/503603/)

Of course, the article is in German.

In my opinion, that's great f#ckin' management and a great f#ckin' deal for Hoffenheim........

Damn, and I was hoping l'OM (my French team) would land him. :(
Oh well, best of luck to him at Hoffy: he's a good player. :)

I think he will do very well at Hoffenheim.

Metro, Sanogo is who I wanted BVB to get instead of Valdez.

Good player, just needs some goals, and I think he'll get plenty of opportunities at Hoffenheim. Not a big fan of him, but I wasn't a big fan of Ibisevic either...

Ibisevic was another striker I mentioned instead of Valdez, but not as a starter. I wanted Ibisevic to back up Frei.

No way in hell did I see what he would do this season!

Ibisevic has scored wherever he has played, just not at this level, to bad he got injured he could of been good enough to get fifa world player of the year at his rate, on pase for 36 goals

FIFA World Player of the Year? Maybe Euro Golden Boot, but Messi will get the World Player of the Year if he doesn't get hurt.

Ibisevic is just a cherry picker who gets into good positions.

Well, he didn't score any goals in 4 matches with PSG. But he did get a red card. ;)

Dude, FIFA World Player of the Year? I don't think so. The European Golden Boot maybe (Marc Janko is scoring up a storm in Austria), and definitely Germany's Player of Year, but not FIFA's or UEFA's.

I agree with TOLH that unless he gets hurt, that honor is deservedly going to Lionel Messi.

I could have sworn that is 50% of what makes a great striker....

I sure wish we had one of those in Dortmund.

Come on. The best thing is that he will join Hoffenheim on loan. I post in another forum and a pal knows his football career in Hamburg and watched him several times at the training and he described him as the most not motivated player he ever saw...

I disagree about that deal.

That's funny. HSV fans call Mohamed Zidan total crap, but we're pretty happy with him in Dortmund.

He's not a star, but HSV fans told us the same thing. He doesn't work hard.

Funny, he works his ass off for us.

My point? When a player has a bad time at a club, of course fans of that club are going to talk bullshit about the player.

BTW, do you always need someone else to tell you what you think about a player?

What about what YOU think yourself of Sanogo? Or do you even know anything about him?

I judge it similarly. It reminds me of Ailton 2003/04 with having the season
of his life, hey maybe that´s a good omen for Hoffenheim.

It´s sad, that Ibisevic got injured. :( I hope, that Sanogo does well for you,
he normally has a first good half year, because there he´s motivated,
and you use the buying option (although i fear this might not happen).

The 1.2 million € loaning fee for a half season are indeed a good start. :D

I dont know if he can help win the title. I think they should have gone for a gold nugget. This is there chance., i think they need another one to, just incase this striker doesnt work out

Have you seen Sanogo's goal-per-game ratio? If he is not a good-enough replacement for Ibisevic, what kind of signing did you expect?

I thought it was a good deal but if Hoffenheim are paying that much for .5 years of service...
