I hate to say it but I think it is actually true. I heard that terms are being kept low and won't be announced until the winter break. The deal is supposed to be from end of season and 1860 gets 3.1m for him. Oddly enough that is jsut shy of the amount we need to pay off our debt. We are to get consideration for one of three TSG players that are either on the first team or their II team....on that point it was unclear.
I hate losing players because we can't pay our bills. I don't mind losing them otherwise, that's just football. But to lose talent because we can't pay the light bill is like selling your kids into slavery. Well, better to TSG than to Bayern.
I have to say I had not heard this one, but it would not surprise me. If it is true, it would be another great move by a great organization in the making.

If Ibesevic doesn't score another goal, he's probably still in the top 5 ;)

Agreed. And it will be interesting to see if the winter break kills their momentum.

You mean Matthias Jaissle. He's coming along very nicely. They jacked him from Stuttgart's U19 team on a free transfer. :D
Hoffenheim players were at some point with Stuttgart:
Jaissle
Beck
Compper
Weis
Hildenbrand
There might be another one in there somewhere. In any event, three of their four starting defenders, plus Weis and now Hildebrand were all Stuttgarters.
Weis could be playing for us right now. That one really stings.

Great football sunday. Hoffenheim and Boca. I hope for both the season will end with wins for them.
I am optimistic that the boys will give everything to stay on top.

Speaks for the quality of the Stuttgart youth teams.
They have the best in Germany in my opinion.

I've read a little story about Weis and Hildebrand.. Tobi once said, that Timo got him tickets for the GER-ARG match in the WC 2006.
I assume, Tobi will give Timo tickets for the next match in WC 2010. :D

Just heard a very nasty rumor....TSG is close to terms on another Timo....Gebhart. Heard from a person that a price has been thrown about between the two clubs. I hope this proves to be an unfounded rumor.
This rumor is not new to me. 1899 was/is really after him. But we have so many great strikers where on earth should he play or who will spend some time on the bench ? I would say we need more players for our back than another striker.

Is he ? I dunno, I have thought striker . But I don't watch Bundesliga 2 anyway, so you could be right.
I really want to make a 10 out of Salihovic. He may be a diva, but he has almost everything to be a great 10.

Gebhart could play anywhere in attacking midfield on on the wings. He could also play upfront. He is not a classic striker, nor is he a classic #10 like Icke Haessler. I love the kid but have noticed he tends to flop when he is touched alot recently. He should spend more time on his feet, but he is clearly the target of other teams trying to take 1860 off its game.
I doubt the kid would start or expect to start for Hoffy. He just earned hsi 2.BL starting spot around match #4. But, that said, he would be an excellent choice for Hoffy a Joker.
I hear the only hang up on this potential move is assurances he will not be played on the II's. He would rather sit the bench for the first team than play on the II's. Hell, he is a starter int he 2.BL now. Doubt the kid wants to do what Adler, Baier and other Loewen have done; namely, leave a solid 2.BL club with a starting position only to move to a 1.BL and play in their 3.BL or lower team with the hope of making the 1.BL side.

Sorry to hear he's been a bust, but I don't think he fits the Hoffy mold.

Squiddy, them's serious fight'n words. :D
Hey, his arrival is the reason we took 4th in 2000 and made UEFA. His departure in 2003 is a contributing factor to our relegation in 2004 that year.
