Italy's coach Giovanni Trapattoni said that Roma's young guns Cassano and De Rossi won't be going to Portugal this summer.

What a bunch a bs!! I'm pretty sure Cassano is young enough to play on the under-21's but he stil has'nt got the call..cause the italian federatikn made up some excuse of not wanting to break up team chemistry...Does anyone know what Cassono did to be on the federation's $hit list?

Update on Daniele De Rossi :
Daniele De Rossi could be promoted to the Azzurri squad for Euro 2004 according to Under-21 boss Claudio Gentile.
The Roma starlet has yet to even win a call-up by Giovanni Trapattoni but the 20-year-old is being touted as a possible candidate to star in Portugal next summer.
"All Coaches would like a player like De Rossi," Gentile told the ‘Gazzetta dello Sport’ on Thursday.
