i dont think its that bad of an idea, especially if you have soft ground studs. say the locker room is a distance away from the and you got to cross a track or walk on a side walk just pop those bad boys on and use them your studs from getting scratched and worn down. i think they would be similar to what ice skaters use on their skates from when they go from the ice back to the changing room.

edit: i just found out they arent for with metal studs, maybe they aren't as practical as i thought.

i know football players tend to wear them they look preatty funny basically there are holes in the bottom so u can put your studs through. it is just like a sweet spot, a waste of money.
