A good article from The Belize Times, posted on the Voyageurs site by MikeD:
http://www.belizetimes.bz/news/story/2936.shtml
This is just a small tip of the iceberg in a small part of the FIFA-corrupted world. No word from FIFA yet, but unfortunately the situation in Belize, as elsewhere where governments and clean soccer organiztions challenging the corrupt FIFA - recognized Football Associations get punished for their so-called "political interference" efforts by country suspensions like in Guatemala, may result in Belize getting suspended and prevented from playing events like the WCQ's in June. Unfortunately FIFA may decide it's not worth putting out another fire when so many others are burning now.
Thank goodness some in the media haven't been scared off by Blatter's threats of bullying law suits, like what happened a year ago.

Forward of a post on voyageurs by Winipeg Fury, which I assume he got on the FIFA site:
CONCACAF GENERAL SECRETARY TO VISIT BELIZE
29.1.04 - Chuck Blazer, the General Secretary of CONCACAF and member of the FIFA Executive Committee, is to visit Belize on Monday, February 2, to hold discussions with officials from the Football Federation of Belize (FFB) and the Belize Premier Football League (BPFL). This visit has been welcomed by the FFB President, Dr. Chimilo, and the President of the BPFL, Mr. Perdomo, both of whom have indicated they are happy to participate in the talks. The objective of Blazer’s visit is to bring about reconciliation and to reunite the two bodies in the interests of Belizean football.
Blazer, who is well experienced in such matters as a former Vice Chairman of FIFA’s National Associations Committee, is committed to bringing unity to Belizean football. He will be accompanied on his visit by two other high-ranking CONCACAF officials; Harold Taylor, who is a Deputy General Secretary of CONCACAF and General Secretary of the Caribbean Football Union, and who has previous experience of dealing with the situation in football in Belize, and; Rafael Tinoco, who is also a CONCACAF Deputy General Secretary and the new General Secretary of The Unión Centroamerica de Fútbol of which Belize is a member.
The CONCACAF delegation’s visit will commence with a dinner to be attended by members of the Executive Committees of both the FFB and the BPFL and, the following day, meetings between all the parties will commence.

Jack Warner has stagnated the growth of football in the Caribbean, particularly in Trinidad. The man has raped the country and bullied his way to the top by manipulating tactics and fraudulant behavior. Trinidad football has been on a drastic decline for the last 10yrs and Warner's pocket is just getting fatter. It's time for the respective federations in concacaf to get this con man out of office and vote in someone who will have the best interest of the federations members at hand.

So now Jack Warner, Chuck Blazer, Sunil Gulati & Alan Rothenberg and the cohorts just ban National Associations they feel aren't being "loyal" to the FIFA/CONCAJOKE Family?
How do you spell FAKE FUTBOL M-A-F-I-A. Losers stop stealing from the game! Go work for Enron, stay away from our sport. THIEVES!

Didn't FIFA actually come down with the Guatemala ban first? Also, the ban was because the Guat. government stepped in and re-booted the corrupt Fed., thus raising the ire of FIFA who doesn't like that sort of stuff? Not saying your rancor isn't well placed, however.

You assume that the federations DON'T think that Warner has their (the federation elite, I mean, NOT the sport withing those federations) best interests at heart.
There's only one way you stay if office (with a Gen Sec in Blazer - who is the only one of ALL the major federations and continental confederations on earth to be BOTH Gen Sec AND Treasurer) that long.

From the files of "What the #%$@ is he smoking, and is there any left?", Jack Warner suggested to AEG that Concacaf teams should be allowed to play and train at the Home Depot Center, free of charge.
From a Soccer America story
The [US] federation has already politely declined "suggestions" about how the facility should best be used. Several months ago CONCACAF president Jack Warner proposed all confederation teams should be allowed to train and play there, for free.
Seriously man, what the hell are you talking about? I would really like to know the context in which that suggestion was made. None of the Concacaf teams paid for the stadium, why do they get to play and train there for free? Other federations being strapped for cash isn't the fault of AEG, nor is it up to them to fix.

Maybe AEG/SUM will trade the free training for the TV rights to the Gold Cup.

Blazer, Warner, Gulati & Rothenberg have insured that the value of those TV rights is worth about $1.83. But they note they increased it from $1.39 when they started their Road to CONCAPILLAGING.

FIFA vice-president Jack Austin Warner has "adopted" the Haitian national Under-17 football team and has pledged to fund their preparations for the 2008 Caribbean Football Union Youth Cup scheduled to kick off here next month.

So he's giving Haiti some of the money he's withheld from all the GOAL Program projects that have never happened due to "lack of cooperation from the local governments." http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif
