So the little experiment with Gazza didn't work out. That shouldn't stop DC from pursuing other capable Europeans with demons. Maybe DC should consider Roy Keane. He might be available soon (if Jaap Stam is any precedent), perhaps on free loan. And he'll probably be grateful for an opportunity to get a new start somewhere removed from all the pressure of prawn sandwiches and his impending legal troubles.
What's that, you say? DC already has all the midfield it needs? Well, alright then. Never mind!

I'm open but after the scathing comments Ray made after Keane was sent home from Japorea I would doubt it.

Hudson just eviscerated the Ex-Irish Captain something terrible. Oh, and Keane has plenty of other suiters who'd want him.
I think the Gazza deal has got us distracted. Let the Scum pursue Costacurta and his ilk. Can you say "Lothar Mattheus"? Let's try to find some decent, young, promising talent we can build on--US and foreign.

I would love for the Scum to get Costacurta it is a perfect fit. He will destroy an already poor team chemistry. They already have Mike Punky and Steve Jolley as "Best of Friends".

There was an article lamenting DC United not keeping Gazza in the City Paper, anyone catch it? It was a surprise to me...
