Update: Onyewu was an anchor at central defense yet again for Standard Liege as the Belgian side knocked fellow U.S National Team member Tim Howard's Everton side out of the UEFA Cup after a 2-1 win by Liege.
Analysis: While many supporters thing Gooch needs to go to a big club, it looks like he's just fine thanks at Standard Liege. They nearly knocked Liverpool out of the Champions League, and just booted an English club from the UEFA Cup.
