Bakary Sagna (Arsenal)
Sébastien Squillaci (Sevilla)
Milieux de terrain:
Hatem Ben Arfa (Marseille)
Alou Diarra (Bordeaux)
Lassana Diarra (Portsmouth)
Yoann Gourcuff (Bordeaux)
Florent Malouda (Chelsea)
Franck Ribéry (Bayern Munich)
Jérémy Toulalan (Lyon)

what is veira doing in there? when you have flamini
nasri is injured, at-least thats what i think or may be gourcuff has gotten the #10 shirt permantely after an outstanding performance
surprise call is Florent Sinama-Pongolle, the guy has fully matured as a player and i believe its the right time to call him for national duty. after looking at his stat, he's not that far off from benzema, both have 40 goals each in their careers and are young with florent being 3 years older. these two could be our future strikers, once anelka and henry hung their boots.
mexes has to fight for a place in the starting 11 after horrible performance against austria, after fan cry out to be included in the team i expect him to do better, considering other players beg to be on the team

Domenech seems to think that Nasri isnt fully fit yet but he played on wednesday and is scheduled to start tomorrow.

Yes , all deserve to be there .
ALOU DIARRA doesn't , what is it with Domenech with this guy ? It confuses me every time the squad is picked .

while i agree with you that domenech selection sucks, the players you mention above are midfielders and defenders, and thats hard position to get in the NT when you have ribery, nasri, gourcuff, ben arfa, flamini. unless if you can use them in other positions like defensive midfielders. so its tough pistion to acquire

Diarra has been doing really well at Bordeaux, and he was a big reason that Bordeaux did so well last season as well. I don't see the problem with having him on the squad as a 4th or 5th choice DM.
I haven't been following Flamini that closely since he moved to Milan, but I haven't had the impression that he's been so amazing that he warrants an automatic inclusion into the squad.

Rod Fanni is one of France's promising young RBs. It's not like France has a lot of players in that position anyway, but with Clerc and Sagnol either injured or off form, Sagna needs to have a backup. Domenech doesn't like Reveillere for whatever reason, and the only other option would be either to play Lassana Diarra back there or to bring in another unknown like Fanni.

:D
Domenech really is crazy , having 5 DM's !
Fair enough but Alou Diarra to me is average , there's nothing special about him and really it's a waste of a spot in the team because he hardly plays (when he does it's for 5 minutes ) .

I agree that France doesn't need five DMs, but that's more Domenech's fault than Diarra's. Give him another year or two, and he'll be the closest we have to a replacement for Vieira.

Fanni is a good player, offensively and defensively okay, with technical skills. The only thing is, his carreer is Lens, Nice and Rennes.

Lassana Diarra is out with knee inflamation, maybe we will see Flamini take his place?

flamini is also down with some kind of knack.
i like cheyrou and he's about the best thing OM has going at present, but just because he's in form right now doesn't mean he's more NT material than alou diarra.

On contrary to Diarra, Cheyrou is able to pass a ball.

I vaguely remember hearing that he was good a while ago, but you don't hear anything about him. I guess that what happens when you play your entire career in Italy for midtable clubs. From what I'm reading on the internet, he doesn't even seem to have had a stellar showing with those clubs anyway. You're gonna have to do better than 'i don't care what anybody says' to convince me he warrants a place ahead of HBA, Gourcuff, Ribery, Nasri or any other of the attacking midfielders already in the mix, that are undoubtly better than him. And Convincing Domenech will be even tougher ;)
