Wait a minute... You agree the MFL is full of prima donnas, that it has currupt Presidents (Vergara/Teuffer) and yet you want Chivas to bring passion to the MLS.. If the MFL is league in bad shape why do you two of its most popular teams comming here as a good ?

Hate Chivas all you want, that only makes us bigger. Read-my-text: Chivas USA will take the MLS by storm!!!

As a matter of fact, I am firmly convinced Chivas USA will be the first MLS club to go through an entire season undefeated. I'm not saying it will happen our very first year, but certainly within four or five, tops.
Of course, many of you Chivas haters will then be required to wash my feet and drink the water.

LOL, Why don't you try actually acquiring a roster before you tell us how good they are...Unless you plan on throwing 11 empty jerseys out on the pitch, and hoping we'll either trip over them, or be sooo intimidated by the 'Chivas' logo, that we'll run away crying, and just forfeit every match!!

First of all, this thread deserves a hearty BUMP. And just in time for Christmas, too.

Americans have never been great about respecting their elders.
Let's see here. Exactly why should I respect Mexico? Well as a nation I really have no respect for all of the illegal immigrants....but that's a whole different story. As a soccer team, well I just have to remind you again about June 17, 2002. FIFA World Cup 2002, USA 2 : Mexico 0.
Enough said.
Right now, as a Wizards fan, my three least favorite teams are LA, San Jose and Chicago, with LA probably being the least favorite of all. But Chivas USA will be my new least-favorite team because of their arrogant attitudes, because I really dislike Vergera, and because I don't think setting up Mexican teams in MLS is good for US soccer at all. If this is supposed to be an attempt to increase awareness of Hispanic-Americans for our NT and MLS as well, we shouldn't need a *#*#*#*#*#*#*#*# team in MLS to do so. I really really hope this doesn't happen because it's not good for the leauge. But if it does, I'm gonna root like hell against the San Diego/Houston Goats.

i'm another anti-established mexican soccer club using us as a breeding ground for there cockaroaches.....
all of our players will be on the season long injured reserve cause of these bastards, bank on it.... well if the metros still have Jaimie by then he'll be on that list anyay, but he's bolivian so lets get back to the point.
im not one to care what others think of me, but how will the world of soccer take us seriously if we have , how shall i put this, a spin-off of a Mexican team....
i'm laughing at MLS and im a huge supporter, imagine Anti-MLS bastards which we are tryin to persude that we got class??
no offense to the mexicans, but yous guys got no class, unless class meant hacks/arrogant penile erections...
ChivasUSA can go blow a goat...

LOL MLS Doesn't need Chivas?
They don't need Latinos!
They need this:
More Money
More Attendance in Stadiums
More Publicity
Expand itself more across America
(not everyone knows that DC United exist)
Before they go down the Drain like the WUSA

They're not going down the drain..........
(staying calm)
I absolutely guarantee that more people in this country have heard of DC United than Chivas.
(refraining from personal assault......)
The idea that Chivas is going to somehow save the league, which doesn't need saving BTW, is laughable
at best. Sure, you'll get some sporadic increases in road attendance at first, but once the novelty wears off, you're gonna realize that the middle of an MLS season is no time to do a publicity tour...
(See?....I'm all puppy dogs and ice cream cones over here......)

So..., who lacks class?
It's seriously astounding how Chivas brings out the intellectually deficient on the boards.

What a shock that Riverplatejob is already going around making silly noise about being a Chivas USA fan. And he's a Pumas supporter, as well. There's another shock.
So, why don't you level with us? Do you have a Che Guevara tatoo on one of your testicles or what?

Well, I guess I can't say anything if you choose not to have respect for a nation of hard working people with a rich culture. I imagine some Mexican guy stole your job washing dishes or scrubbing toilets in the middle of the night. But I will say that I find it odd how you dislike Vergara's arrogant attitude, yet can't see how arrogant your total lack of respect for a nation of people whom you have never met is.

Enough said. I'm an American, and even i'm tired of this one. I happen to think the U.S Nats are a much better team, but just giving the 2-0 score line doesn't mean anything. September 20, 2003, Dallas Burn 2 : Chicago Fire 0. Which of those two would you say was the better team this year?

I don't have anything against Chivas YET, but I am going by experience. I NEVER liked Ruiz, or Hernandez. Also, any time the Wizards have played a game against a Mexican team, every hispanic person within 200 miles comes to watch. That would be great because it brings up attendence, but all of the 1 game a year fans that I've run into have been rude! One kid stole my seat, so when I came back, I explained in English (I'd heard him speaking English when I walked back) and he acted like he didn't understand. so I used my pea brain of Spanish and asked him to move because it was my seat. I even brought out my ticket. I know what I said made sense, but he just looked at me, and turned back to the game.
Also... I'm kinda sick of being hit on by the drunk ones. UGH! it's gross!

"The drunk ones"? Is that a scientific subcategory of Mexicans? If so, I'm not familiar with it. Do you refer to drunk guys who support the USMNT the same way, or do you just not mind when they hit on you?
Just in the interest of clarification; because when you're talking about drunk Mexicans, you might just be talking about my cousins.

More clarity from a Tri supporter.
In very general terms, most USNT fans who do knock them back are into savoring a decent brew and the gameday experience. They normally don't regard beer as a form of Antifreeze that allows them to walk around in 19 degree weather with their jackets unzipped. Nor do USNT fans normally despose of empty containers by firing them onto the field.
I like the Tri and I dig Mexico. But Stateside Tri fans normally swim in a cesspool come gameday. Don't get indignant if we point that out. And if you want that image to change, work on it.
As for your cousins, who gives a rat's ass?

Man, there's a lot of not-so-hidden racism in this thread. Get a life people.
I have Chivas for the only good reason to hate Chivas that exists at this time before a team is named and before any games are played; because they aren't the Chicago Fire.
Let things develop and let the season start and go with an open mind. We'll see what comes of it. MLS is doing this for all the right reasons from a business sense and that is to be applauded. I'm sure we all want the league to be successfull.
I welcome the Chivas ownership and their future players and whatever superior attitude they chose to bring (or not). There will be plenty of time to lay down the smack when they visit Soldier's Field and get a facefull of Section 8 luv.
I suggest the rest of you adopt the same attitude.

How can you guarantee this ?! Do you have any stats ??? Id imagine if DC U was as popular as Chivas they would hold regular friendlies outside of Washington and would pull in good attendance numbers..

From all the mindless hate, pissing, and moaning on this thread I'm starting to become a MLS Chivas fan. I actually have high hopes that they bring a new look to the league, mirroring the diversity of our country in a small way. At any rate, Chivas is sure to create some rivalries.
Of course, when Chivas takes the field against the Galaxy, I'll be compelled to hate them then.
BTW - is it just my perception or does the majority of the hate and discontent for the whole Chivas deal come from fans of midwest and eastern teams? Perhaps it's because the Mexican food in those areas is so terrible that the locals haven't developed a fondness for something Mexican in origin.
