Actually, it's that FOX owns distribution rights to home matches in the U.S. Most weekend games are sold to Setanta's PPV service, midweek games and the ones against the minnows typically air on FSC.

I believe Setanta has acquired blanket rights to the away games through the appropriate marketing agencies, much as they did in the UK (separate deals though).

These listings are terrific, but just one minor correction. Monday's delayed broadcast of the Argentina-Uruguay CONMEBOL WCQ will be shown at 5pm (Central Time) according to the ESPN listings, rather than the 3pm in the listings in this thread.

Of course, I could be picky and point out that the time zone designation should read CDT rather than CST (since we are still in Daylight Savings time), but I won't.

Possible addition of Honduras - Canada from October 11 on CATV (DirecTV Spanish package) this Saturday, but we'll see if that holds up. They seem to be quick to withdraw NT games and replace them with league games.

Finally got around to watching the Croatia-Andorra match and I have to say that I have never seen an image on TV that is as bad as this. I can't believe that Setanta could not do anything to fix the quality of the image. Wide-angle and medium shots looked like a video game or like that technique where people shoot video footage and then animate it (e.g., Waking Life or that Spoon music video a few years back). It is unbelievable that some of the FSR images, which appear to just be re-presentations of Youtube videos, actually look better than this one.
