Did anyone see the American version of Little Britain?

TBH I'm not a huge fan myself of the British version although there are a few characters and sketches that are reasonably humorous. I just think it's going to be rather too.. well, British, for an American audience. Might be wrong I suppose.

That's why it's on HBO. It's a more select and more worldly audience than on, say, NBC. It's where we saw Rome and Extras, both BBC productions. And we get the English "Little Britain" on BBC America.
The US version is slightly adapted but true enough to the original. It's not a reinvention like The Office.
Both are kind of meh, IMO though there are some funny moments. Cursing kids is always funny and Rosie O'Donnell having to explain if she was gay because she was fat or fat because she is gay was humorous. But I don't think I'm TiVoing it.

I enjoyed the first episode, the one skit that did zilch for me was the vacationing couple bit in the restaurant.

Did you guys ever get the Fast Show over there? That show shaped my adolescence.

Suit you sir? :D
Anyway, like I say, I don't really watch the show in it's UK version so I doubt I'll be watching it a lot. I was just interested in how it was viewed.
Having said I'm not that much of a fan I did find this one quite amusing.

The Fast Show is the best skit show ever, since Monty Python anyway. The best one's off it had to be:
Rowley Birkin QC
0BKRZTalEys
Dave Angel, Eco Warrior
DLPOC9vDjLg
...and of course, Ron Manager :D
X4I1ye2gcEo
But they were all classics - Swiss Toni, Cockney Bloke, The 13th Duke of Wynbourne, Ted & Ralph. What a show, it's a shame that people remember the far, far inferior Harry Enfield & Chums over it. It is also very obvious how big of an influence The Fast Show had on Little Britain.

Crap, it might not be a good idea to discuss these shows in light of the TV show draft, eh? :D
