Luis Robles made the USNMT squad for the upcoming Confederation's Cup. Let's hope he can make it into a match.

Why?

Not finalized yet, but should be very soon.

I like Kurz, but the ex-1860 coach I would recommend would be Uwe Wolf.....

Kurz has now officially signed on to coach FCK.

And the German page confirms here (http://www.fck.de/de/aktuell/news/details/article/215-ilicevic-unterschreibt-beim-fck.html) that FCK has signed midfielder Ivo Ilicevic on loan from VfL Bochum.

Ilicevic spent last season on loan to Greuther Fürth

This SportBild.de article (http://www.sportbild.de/sportbild/generated/article/fussball/2009/06/25/13047100000.html) says Canadian player Josh Simpson has moved from FCK to promoted Turkish Superliga club Manisaspor.

The article says Simpson signed a two-year contract and quoted him as saying, "I am looking forward to this new challenge."

Simpson, who was plagued by injury problems during his stint at FCK, had three goals in 22 2nd Bundesliga appearances for FCK last season.

Simpson moved on a free transfer.

Damn. I'm gonna miss the German announcers butchering his name.

"Yosh Zimson" LOL!! :D

I can confirm that move by Yosh Zimzon.

According to this Kicker article (http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/2bundesliga/startseite/artikel/510851/), Sidney Sam's loan deal has been extended and he will play for FCK in the coming season.

The article does not mention if Sam extended his contract with HSV as a condition of the loan. It is a common practice, but here, no one seems to know if he did.

If he did not, HSV is pretty much giving Sam away as he would be able to leave them on a free transfer after this season.

Hopefully, more will come out about this later.

FCK Boss Stefan Kuntz said of the deal, "We are convinced of Sidney Sam's potential and as he continues to develop, we expect more consistency in his performances."

To me, this is awesome news for FCK. I didn't think he would return w/ die Roten Teufel. Now, we just need die Roten Teufel to return the 1st Bundesliga.

In this 2nd Bundesliga, anything can happen.

BTW, you guys open the new season at home against Greuther Fuerth.

I am surprised there isn't any joy/joy + happy/happy going on here. Ok, I will provide a dose:
10 man #1FCK beat Eintracht Braunschweig in their DFB Pokal meeting on Friday (freitag for you german speakers) 1-0. I don't know who Die Roten Teufel will be playing next yet.

In other news:
Eintracht Trier 3:1 Hannover 96
It was 0:1 @ the half. Why do we care, cause Super Mario Basler is the Head Honcho for this club. Also this club is plays in Regionalliga West. I wouldn't be hurt to see Super Mario at the helm for #1FCK. http://www.geocities.com/jayrob6/emoticons/diabelek.gif

Ten-man FCK needed a big dose of good luck, but hey, a "W" is a freakin' "W".

Uh. Wrong. Eintracht won this match because Dieter Hecking can't seem to coach his way out of a wet paper bag these days.

Also, H96 was totally unprepared for this match as quite a few 1. Liga teams were this past weekend.

I agree that Basler could one day be a fantastic coach, but how about we let him get more than one Cup upset under his belt before the anoint him the next Rehhagel, shall we??

I wasn't anointing him, but just wishing out loud to see one of my favorite #1FCK players come back to the club as a coach. Remember he came up through the ranks of FCK, but made his name @ Bayscum. He did come back to #1FCK & was fantastic, except the time he missed a pk vs. bayscum in a 0-0 draw that I am sure the refs were paid off w/ hoeness money  You might remember the match. Hoeness came into the #1FCK bench & was chewing out Andreas Brehme. Then when the fans reacted on their bus ride home, holiness said that the FCK fans are barbaric  Screw that punk.

Basler made his name at Bremen. That's what made the Scum want him.

And while he may have come up with FCK, he's more associated with Bremen and the Scum.

However, like King Otto, I think he may wind coaching both Bremen and FCK in the future.

What are you? 12 years old??

Basler missed. He was more "drunk Mario" by that time.

I remember it. I never saw Eric type Hoenasshole more times than he did after that.

But to say "Hoeness money" was involved is just silly man.

Drunk ass Mario just wasn't up to it.

Deal with dude!! LOL!! :D
