Man, we need Frankfurt to beat Mainz for us. Then we have to take care of business this weekend vs. Wiesbaden. Fürth is starting to make a run for 1st Bundesliga. Don't want to be left behind.
Dude, Ingolstadt plays Mainz. Frankfurt plays Nuernberg. I think you meant you need Frankfurt to beat Nuernberg for you.
Fuerth will fall apart as usual......

Thank you Frankfurt :D Freakin' Ingolstadt couldn't stop Mainz. They had the lead in the 64th, but Mainz scored two to seal the deal. Very big win for Mainz. Damn!!!!

According to Premiere, he'd lost the team.
I'm assuming they think they can still get into the top three.
Maybe they'll bring back Wolfgang Wolf for next season??

yeah, sure looks like it, all being in the race for promotion after almost goign down last year...
Dont seem like they are thinking much at all if you ask me but maybe I dont know things they know... :p But seriously, 4 games befor the end, having played a sensational season... I dont really get that...

Not my opinion. I just repeated what was said on Premiere.
Don't forget, the same thing happened to him at Koblenz too.
There are some coaches who are good, but grate on their team after awhile.

I don't usually agree with these type of firings, but to be honest, I think Kuntz is a good manager and if he thinks the coach lost the team, I believe him.
And I believe Kuntz had more to do with the turnaround than Sasic.

I know, I know. He definitely is one of them. But still. 4 game before the end of the season. A season that they played way above most peoples expectations?! Naah...
Oh well, not my problem, let them destroy everything they have built up again if they feel like it... ^^

Again, I don't normally agree with these firings either, but again, I trust Kuntz and believe he had more to do with the turnaround than Sasic ever did.
It's not like they pulled off this turnaround with the same players.

It sounds crazy to sack a manager with such great merits (saving the club from relegation and forming a promotion candidate just 1 season later) ... but well, we don't know the true reasons.

I was surprised too. But I guess players get bored of authoritarian coaches. I don't think they can make it to a promotion spot though, so this won't change much imo. They need to win every game left, and even that may not be enough.

Uwe, how did Sasic "form a promotion candidate?"
He didn't go out and get the players who fueled this turnaround, Kuntz did.
You know I don't normally go for these firings either, but with Sasic, this is not surprising at all.
He is the type of coach you call in when you need to get your team on the right path or back on the right path.
However, he is not the guy who will get them to the next level. He eventually wears out his effectiveness with his authoritarian ways and his players eventually quit on him.
Apparently, this is what FCK (read: Kuntz) feels happened here.
We may not know what actually happened, but I'd be willing to bet that Kuntz feels this team can still get into the top three, but also felt the team had quit on Sasic.
He obviously felt this team would do better with a new coach and did what he felt he had to do.
Sometimes it makes a difference and sometimes it doesn't. I guess we'll see. Either way, I think it is too late for them.
I don't think they'll get back into the top three anyhow, but I think they've already made their first move in preparation for next season if they don't.......

They are trying to resign a number of key players, and maybe Sasic was the reason it was not going well. Plus, he and Kuntz had some big blowup on Monday that seems like the last straw.

Luis Robles made the USNMT squad for the upcoming Confederation's Cup. Let's hope he can make it into a match.
