I am not going to labour this point for too long, as have touched upon it at times in other threads, and for particular games, (such as the Charity Shield), and Rick is well aware of my help and offers to other ArsenalAmerica members, but as we are now on the thresh hold of a new season, I will mention this directly for the last time.
If any of you are coming "across the pond" and want to go to matches, if you give me enough notice, particularly as tickets go on sale 2 months in advance for TRS members, I can regularly get tickets for you. Even if you come on short notice I can probably still help you out. Every game I have about 5 or 6 tickets, and use maybe 2 or 3, so I always have spare. (They never go unused!). However if I know that fellow "ArsenalAmerica" members are coming over I can make you a priority for them. For those that have already made the trip, no one has been let down yet, so long may that continue. Get in touch if you wish to. Hear's to another good and successful season.

Thanks Jeff, you've been a great resource in the past and I know that myself and all the ArseAm members are grateful for your generosity.

Many thanks, Jeff. I hope to be over sometime in the Spring (Can't go this fall as I'll be tied up in court with my divorce)

BTW, when I do come, I'll be bringing my son with me. he turns 4 in March and always watches Arsenal matches with me at home. Would it not be a good idea to bring him to a game? I know he would love it, just not sure how it is at Highbury for a wee one.

Wow. Jeff this sounds fantastic. I just booked a trip to Holland next week, and want to attend the Arsenal-Chelsea game on the 1st of September. I know it is very very late for tickets, but just some general advise on what section the traveling supporters are in, transportation, dining, etc. would be a phenomenal help. I'm coming from Amsterdam the day of the match, and need to be back in Amersterdam to catch a 9:00am flight back on the 2nd.

Much thanks in advance,

Paul

Unfortunately Paul this fixture is NOT at Highbury but at Chelsea's ground, Stamford Bridge. I am not sure whether or not I will be able to get tickets for you for this game, and Chelsea are generally the highest priced in the Premiership.
Also what makes it worse is that I am travelling to Belgium on the 28th August to 2nd September from the F.1 Belgian Grand Prix, so it seems that we will cross each other!
I'll see what I can do. Let me know for sure that you still want to go, and if I can get tickets, I will make arrangements for you to collect them from somewhere/someone should I get some. Please re-confirm A.S.A.P.

"COACH". I used to take my boys when they were that age, and joined them up as "Junior Gunners", A>S>A>P..
It's good to "blood them young". It helps keep them interested and it's a day they always remember.
"My first visit to Highbury". He may not take much in as far as the game goes, but I still remember my first visit!

I will definately be there. Anything you could do is greatly appreciated. The Chelsea website still has tickets available, but I want to sit with the Arsenal supporters and don't know where they will be. If worse comes to worse, I'll just buy one at the stadium or from a scalper.

Jeff, unless you post otherwise, I'll just buy a ticket from the box office. I'd really like to sit with the Arsenal supporters, but it looks like the match will sell out.

Jeff, I'm departing today, so I purchased a ticket online. Thanks for the help, and if I can ever return the favor, don't hesitate. Next time, I'm in London, I'd love to share a pint. Enjoy your trip.

All the best,

Paul

NO probleem. Always happy to help. I just hope it did not cost you too much. If the ticket still comes through for you I know that I can always find someone to take it. In the meanwhile, put the beer "on ice". JEFF.

Jeff,
Thanks for the offer. My husband and I are tentatively planning a trip in Nov., but have yet to decide exactly when. He's not really an Arsenal fan, but realizes I want to go and will go with me. Plus, as a soccer fan, even he would like to see Highbury. (I promise to make up for his lack of enthusiasm for the team with mine!) I'll be in touch as we start firming up some dates.
Thanks again. I'm starting to get really excited!

The tickets for the Manchester City game are situated in the lower North Bank, middle section. (£35) ($52).
Give me a call when you get here to arrange a meet for the "hand over".

Jeff,

I'm looking at making a pilgrimage the first week of February. There's a match at Highbury against Fulham on the 1st, then an away match at St. James' Park on the 8th.

Question 1: Should I just wait for Ticketmaster for the Fulham match, or since it is a London derby, attempt to make other arrangements?

Question 2: How does one get involved in the away match travelling party? I don't want to end up sitting in the wrong place, not being able to cheer the Gunners.

Any advice you could give would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

I can get you the ticket for the home game against Fulham. "TicketMaster" add on their bit of a few $.
The away game at Newcastle will be difficult.
First of all, Newcastle are notoious for not letting away fans having many tickets, plus it's at the other end of the country. To be in the "away ticket members scheme" you have to sign up to ALL away games.
I might be able to get one for you, but won't know until much nearer the time. All home fixtures are never a problem. I am not sure if your dates are fixed yet, but their is also a second round "Champions League" game scheduled for Feb 18 or 19. Won't know if home or away yet. Hope this helps. JEFF.

Jeff, thanks for the advice! There were a few factors being considered when coming up with the date for travelling. The first was trying to squeeze in as many Arsenal matches as possible. The second was cost, and the third was when I and my friend could both take vacation. February is the earliest I can take vacation, and we both figured that it would be the cheapest time to travel. It is definitely not set in stone, and if anyone can give me advice about when the cheapest time to go is, please let me know.

Regarding your travel arrangements, going between Monday to Thursday is usually the cheapest. I would suggest leaving on the Thursday which gets you to the U.K. on Friday, so a quick day to recover before a Saturday game.
If you were to travel on Monday 17th FEB as Arsenal play "Champions League on 18 or 19 Feb then also on 25 or 26 Feb, either being home or away then you could take in the Charlton Athletic game at home on Saturday 1st March. Hopefully weather will be a little warmer then too. (Not by much though!). There's also Man./ City away on Sat. 22nd Feb. Lots of options.
I don't know who you intend to fly with, but going UK to USA is generally cheaper than the other way around.
I go with "www.ebookers.com" based in London. They might be able to help "the other way around" Ask for "Naomi". She sorts me out. When I go out to Florida I average $350 round trip.
The only game early in Feb. is the Fulham match on 1st Feb. Not much after that until the end of the month.
My suggestions above would probably be the best advice. JEFF.
