Jeff I have a question for you. I was wondering cost and availablilty of tickets for reserve fixtures. I am comming to London in March with Peter Buser (he talked to you about CL tickets, we did get tickets for that game, thanks for your help anyway.)
Back to the task at hand.
The fixture in question would be on March 10 v. NOTT'M FOREST. I would need two tickets.
Any help you can give me would be appreciated.
Thanks

Entry to reserve game fixtures are free and are played at Barnet's ground in the north of London. It's just a question of turning up and going in. I go reasonably regularly too, particularly when they were playing at Boreham Wood, a couple of seasons ago. Now Barnet is nearer as well. Anything else just ask. JEFF.

Jeff, I will be visiting London with my sister on March 19th through the 24th. I would like to see Highbury before they move to the new stadium, and this will be my only chance. Is it possible to get two tickets to the match against Everton? Any help would be appreciated!

Ajax away might be pretty hard. There's only a limited amount of tickets available for Gooners in A'dam.

Jeff-
My wife and I will be in the London area for a job interview in March, and would love to attend a match at Highbury. Is there any chance we could get tickets to the FA cup quarterfinal match against Chelsea?
Thanks for you consideration!

Hi, I will be visiting Highbury for the first time soon and would like to bring a standard-size digital camera (still pics, not video). Are they permissable? Any special tricks necessary to get them in?
Any help is appreciated...

Any help is appreciated... They're allowed - we took a bunch of pics on our recent trip.
No real trick to getting anything in. I brought in a small backpack for the two games I went, saw a bunch of people with backpacks. I was actually surprised at the fact that they don't frisk you - that's SOP here in the States.

I think you'll find they do now.

I'm coming to the UK for my very first visit. I've got tickets to the Arsenal v. Everton match on March 23. Any suggestions on how to travel to Highbury, when to arrive and things to do prior to or after the match? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It depends on where you are staying. Travel to either Arsenal tube station itself. (Picadilly line: dark blue) or Victoria Line (light blue) on the underground.
If you go to Finsbury Park when you come out you are right by the "Arsenal World of Sport" merchandise shop to buy "goodies". Visit "The Gunners" bar, the place to drink for "die hard" fans. Get there a good couple of hours, between 2 - 3 before kick off to ensure getting in, and eat at the "Arsenal Fish Bar", about 50 yards up the road from the pub. That's pretty good for all things close to the stadium. Anything else you want to do, just ask. Arsenal connected or just general sightseeing. Jeff.

You definitely need to get to the Gunner's early to get in, but it's a great place before a match.
Also, DO NOT MISS the Arsenal Fish Bar. There's generally quite a line there, as well, and you won't likely find a place to sit, but the cod is to die for. I can almost taste it now. (Jeff, think you could manage a care package!?)
Basically, any advice from Jeff is worth taking. He's the best tour guide of London I know!

Been to Highbury for six matches.
I always go the "Bank of Friendship" pub before matches.
Oh yeah, and the Fish Bar is a must. :)

FYI,
My avatar was shot at a Highbury pub after the Tony Adams testimonial with Celtic last May.

Jeff,
I've been in London since August and have been to just about every ground apart from Highbury, assuming that tix to see Arsenal were either impossible to come by or so expensive as to make them out of range for me. Now I've stumbled upon this wonderful offer from you... I'd love to see them play any game you have extra tix - they've been my team since the early 80's but I've yet to see them play! And as you can imagine the 2nd tier matches at Fulham, Spurs, and West Ham don't exactly have the same lustre...
you can email me on ingromius@hotmail.com since this would be more of a private dialogue than bulletin board fodder -- and as others have said, thanks for your amazingly generous offers you've made here!
