There seems to be quite a lot of people coming over for this game! This is about the third request so far, so i'll add your name to the list. I don't think there will be any problem. Is it just the one you are looking for?

Hey Jeff,
Apparently, the ArseAm contingent will be "squatting" in the North Bank for the new year's matches against 'Pool and Chelsea. What can you tell us about the atmosphere, etc., in that side of Highbury?
(FWIW, as an Arsenal fan who's *never* been to Highbury, every day that goes by brings me closer to pissing my pants about the fact that I'll be seeing Arsenal at home against 'Pool and Chelsea.... Hmmm...that was probably too much information. ;))

It's the best place to be. Particularly in the lower North Bank and especially for games like that. i.e. the "Grade A" games. A London derby is always a good atmosphere with the Chelsea game probably second only to the "scum" we're playing next Saturday!
If it's still Arsenal and Liverpool as the "top two" at the end of December then that will be a big "six pointer" so the crowd will be fired up for that. The atmosphere will be electric! When they score, and are pushing forward, the crowd will really get behind them.
Can't "really" describe it. You got to be there to experience it, but it's great.
Ask Erika and Rob De Paz by the end of next week.
(They came over yesterday, and will be at the games against Newcastle, PSV and Sperzzzzzzzzzzzz!).
They will be in the upper and lower North Bank for 2, and in the East Stand (at their request for a "different perspective") with me for the PSV game.
Then they can describe it for you as "first time Americans".

Hi, Jeff
Just so you know I will not be in London until the 26th of December. I know you mentioned you are going to Florida for a tournament. I will get back to you in December about what arrangements you want to make. Thanks again.

Hi Jeff,
We land at Gatwick at 10:00am on the 26th. If we can't meet is there a way to exchange money for tickets through the mail or any other options?
Thanks

I fly out at 12.15pm so I will be there before 10am. However, but the time I "go through" and you clear customs, it may not work. The post won't operate over Xmas. I might be able to leave them at the airport or you can collect them from my son on the day of the game. Probably the safest option of ensuring that you get them.

Hi Jeff
I agree collecting them from your son is probably the safest way to go if that is ok with you. I appreciate all the help you have given me and other fans. I guess I will talk to you closer to Christmas to set up where I should meet your son before the game. When you get a chance please let me know what the cost of the tickets will be.
Thanks again!

I only think that the Charlton game is so popular is because it is the only game at Highbury in March until 22nd March when they entertain Everton. That is a long 3 week gap with the possible exception of a home draw in the Champions League on either 11 or 12 March.
If that is the case then I expect a "sudden rush" of applications for those tickets!

I'm not exactly sure how to put into words our great experiences at Highbury, other than to say, WOW!
Jeff, you are the man!
The Newcastle game was great, but the atmosphere was not as intense as we expected. Nothing more crazy than a good ole American college football game. The Spurs game on the other hand was incredible. The atmosphere was amazing. We were in the lower tier of the North Bank, and we barely sat the whole time. The cheering never stopped, despite the lack of skinny girls in short skirts waving pompoms around. It was so loud you could barely hear yourself think. Nothing like 38,000 people cheering in virtual unison. We could clearly (well, as clearly as you can understand that language they claim is English ;-) ) hear cheers being started on the Clock End and the echoes as the other stand joined in. (By the end of the third game, I'd actually figured out what they were saying in most of the cheers!)
All I have to say is, do what ever it takes to be sure you take Jeff up on his offer to set you up with tickets. He’s a great guy and will make sure you have a great experience. (Jeff, I think we’re going to have to talk about you moving to the States. Who’s going to hook us up when you’re gone?)
Also, don’t miss the Arsenal Fish Bar (fish and chips to die for) and the Gunners. You have to get to the Gunners early, but it’s worth it to check it out.
The hardest part is going to be waiting until we can get back there to see such great football in person again. Nothing can compare.

I too would like to add to Erica's comments.I made the journey over and with Jeff's valuable help was able to attend the Champions League match against PSV.The trip to Highbury is everything you hope it would be.I got to sit in the North Bank for the CL match and everyone was in fine voice.I sat in the West Stand for the Newcastle match and had a great time.Got to meet EDPOOH and her husband and Jeff at the Moray Arms Pub an Arsenal Pub if there ever was one with decades of of club history adorning the walls. And I second the motion on the fish and chips at the Arsenal Fish Bar.So thanks again,Jeff.

Jeff,
I've tried posting on this thread, starting a new thread when this one was deleted and sending you a PM (which was probably deleted also, as my old PMs have been).
So, I'll be in London in March around the time of the Arsenal/Roma CL game. I'm not asking for you to get me tickets to the game, but just asking what kind of availability there would be for the game and what kind of prices for tickets. Any info. would be appreciated.

The ticket availability will be strictly limited, almost non-existant if you are not a TRS member or a season ticket holder.
The other way will be through the offical ArsenalAmerica fan club, so by not making a request to me, I presume you already have some plans about tickets, although the price request would tend to suggest not.
Prices will start at around £30 ($45), and go through to about £40 ($60).
The tickets are only on sale via "Ticketmaster" who will only post out tickets to TRS members at the credit card holders address. Tickets not sold(!!) go on "general sale" a month before the game, but most will have been "snapped up" by then.
You need to consider carefully about your options of getting tickets, as avenues for this are strictly limited.
I hope that this helps.
JEFF.

Hi Jeff,
I wanted to get in touch with before it gets too close to Christmas. Where should I meet your son on the day of the match? How much would I owe you? I appreciate all your help. I have been to Highbury once before. The last home game of the season in 1997 against Newcastle. This is going to be the highlight of my trip to see a game at Highbury again.
